2nd Anniversary Update: Audio, Awards, and taking over Australia
I can't believe that TWO years ago this month, thanks to you, Go Extinct! successfully Kickstarted! Here's 3 exciting updates:
You can also hear me talk about games, creativity, and science in a pub (complete with drinking game rules) for Pint of Science!
2) Most excitingly, Go Extinct! just won the Society for the Study of Evolution’s prestigious Thomas Henry Huxley Award for outstanding education & outreach achievements! The award is, of course, named after Darwin's most vociferous supporter, AKA "Darwin's Bulldog."
As part of the award, I will get to present Go Extinct! to the National Association of Biology Teachers meeting in Denver in early November. Holler at me if you'll be there!
3) Finally, Go Extinct! just keeps gaining steam (heh) as we add more stores - and now, a whole world region! I'm delighted to say that a distribution deal for Australian / New Zealand is rapidly coming together.
Those 3000 games we made last year around this time are going fast, so a 3rd manufacturing run looks in the cards!
Thank you all so so much,
Ariel & Team STEAM Galaxy
