You are about to participate in one of the most exciting races for the throne in history. In Sicilia, 2-5 players are all citizens of the island of Sicily, and the Baron has just announced that the system of government is about to change. Now any of you can become the next ruler. Assuming you have the skills necessary to earn the support of the most villages first.
Sicilia is a mid-weight game — a perfect gateway game to introduce new players to the scene, as well as the fast pace and strategy required to keep seasoned players happy.
You all start out in your home village with minimal support and very little transportation. You must work to increase your transportation speed, out guess your fellow players to earn more support of the people, avoid duels with other players, and work out your strategy to succeed. Will you quickly try to grab the smaller villages through education? Or prove your dedication to larger villages with food and wine? Will you earn the trust of a certain region or try to please everyone in all regions? Or will you spend your resources for the benefits of Potenza cards?
Sicilia is a large game with many pieces — all designed with quality construction. It offers a classic, tactile experience with plenty of repeat play.
Expansions and Kickstarter exclusives:
Beyond the basic game, we've included several exciting expansions and Kickstarter exclusives. These bonus rewards are only available at the BARON Level of support. That is, as soon as these stretch goals are unlocked.
Sicilia is a game ten years in the making. It has gone though more than a dozen complete redesigns and has been play tested by more than 100 people. I want to personally thank all those who have offered great suggestions that we have incorporated into the game.
Sicilia is finally ready. In 2014 it was a finalist for the strategy games category at the ION Awards. I’ve had a lot of positive response from fellow game designers and lovers of board games.
The good news is that it’s all ready to go. Everything has been designed and all the production work is ready. We are partnering with a well-known production company, Panda Game Manufacturing, who has helped print many of today's popular Euro games. Once the Kickstarter finishes, I can email final files and we are in production. Which means I can hopefully streamline the timeline, so you get a quality game in your hands in less time.
We have also lined up the shipping with FreightWire, a proven logistics company who will help ensure all the shipping goes smoothly.
In addition, Phil Hunter has joined our team. Phil has successfully created a previous Kickstarter game release - Robots on the Line. His help has been invaluable, as he has already gone through the process.
In short, we have thought through every detail. We hope you will join us in making Sicilia a reality.

Other player quotes:
"This is a classic gateway game. It's easy for new gamers to learn, but still has constant decisions to make for more expert players." James Palmer, game aficionado.
"I played it once at a convention and thought it was great. In fact, I went back and played it a second time at the same con." Billy Reano, Saltcon Attendee.
The following video is an example game play with three players. It includes a detailed walkthrough of the rules. Again, you are seeing a prototype of the game. The final game board will be about 20% larger and the box dimensions will be the same size as Puerto Rico. Roughly 8x11x2.

We will be using Kicktraq to track our progress. As we rely on word of mouth, please help us out and spread the word. You can follow our progress as well.
Here are a few badges for you to help us spread the word and show support. A sincere Thank You.
Who in the filth is Adam Morgan and Pixid games?
You know that guy who shows up to a game night, dragging a huge 25-gallon Tupperware filled with a few dozen games. Just so you have choices for the couple games you will actually play. Yep. That’s me. I’m that game nerd who keeps pushing games like it’s a bad habit. I have a collection of hundreds of euro games that’s been growing for the past 15 years until my wife put her foot down and makes me keep it in one room rather than all over the house.
More than loving to play games, I equally love creating them. The first board game I made was when I was 9 years old in 1983. It was actually made from a piece of wood and all the meeples were a set of cowboys and Indians plastic figures. It was called INTRIGUE and it was a mix of Stratego and Risk. Since then, I have been a creative director and writer for the past two decades, where I have fine-tuned my creative craft. I’ve studied game theory for many years including university classes and too much reading.
After building a nice game library of a few hundred Euro games to study, and with several big ideas for great games, I finally sat down and started mapping out a plan of to share my ideas with the world. Today that dream has started with a partnership with a veteran board gamer designer and a debut of my first game Sicilia. We're certain you will love the game and we hope to continue to produce quality games that offer an enjoyable experience.

Risks and challenges
The risks we face at producing Sicilia are minimal. The only thing we can't control is the amount of time it will take to get the game printed by Panda Game Manufacturing and then shipped around the world by FreightWire. To minimize the time, we have all the design ready to go, but it will still depend on when we get on their printing schedule.
Both of our partners have been through this process many times. Panda has printed numerous board games, many of today's popular choices. We're confident that they will do a great job.
As for shipping, we didn't mess around. FreightWire is a proven shipping and fulfillment partner. They have already handled a board game on kickstarter, with shipping to EU and around the world. The plan at this point is to send a shipment straight to EU from Panda, to make it quick and easy for our EU backers. In short, we are world friendly.
We are prepared with backup printing bids if anything were to happen, but we are confident in our suppliers and partners. As always, our plan is to be completely transparent during the manufacturing process and we plan to send regular updates to our backers.
