Parallella Build Progress

Dear Friends and Backers:

Great news! The Parallella boards are starting to roll off the production line. So far we have 300 boards built up with more boards being built every day. The yield looks very good so far!

We do have some work left in speeding up the production line through "task optimization, pipelining and multi-threading". Sounds familiar.:-) Our goal is to reach a production rate of 500 boards per day as soon as possible.

We will be shipping a large number of boards this week and will report back by next Sunday regarding the total # of boards shipped.

Best wishes,

PS. If there is any interest in seeing a video of the Parallella production flow, we will try to convince our contract manufacturer to let us film the process. Let us know...

$99 dollar backer still patiently waiting for a board!!??

+1 for the documentation. I asked about this on the parallella forums and was recommended and out of print book that goes for $130+ dollars on Amazon!
But get the boards out please!

As in the message below, how's the documentation coming along? Haven't heard much and this part of the product was a key selling point to securing my contribution as the beneficiary, my son, has lots of shell/Linux experience on a ras pi but nothing about parallel computing. Hate to have a board with only a gap-riddled forum to guide us.

"So do you guys want see a video of cool stuff you don't normally get to see?"
      That's a rhetoric question, right?

Good to know things are moving along in the hardware dept. For the fourth time of asking, how's the documentation we purchased coming along? Or will we have a nice bit of hardware but no real clue what to do with it?

Actually, I would rather know if there is some development in GPIO breakouts for us breadboarders. :)

The beauty of this is that these look like any other board, pretty much.
      What peeks under the hood....
