HOW TO PLAY
Dad's Gaming Addiction Preview
The game-play is broken into three phases which make up one round and play occurs over several rounds.
- Ingredient Auction
- Brewing and Launching Beer
- Resolving Brewfests
Every craft beer needs four types of ingredients: Grain, Water, Hops, and Yeast. Some specialty beer recipes require specific adjuncts (additives) like fruit or coffee. These adjuncts also grant special actions when brewing a beer.
During the Ingredient Auction phase, players compete for the Ingredient cards needed to launch their beer via Turn Based Bidding. Bottle caps are used as money and then converted into "Craft Beer Market Demand" after they are spent in the auction. When you have secured enough Ingredients to satisfy the recipe of the Beer, you are able to Brew and Launch your Beer into the market!
Market Demand is fluid and unique each game for Replay Value, Strategy, and Depth.
BREWING AND LAUNCHING A BEER
Players then Brew and Launch their Beer(s) into the market looking to satisfy the most Market Demand. The beer can either be used to Control a City or can be used to challenge another player to a Brewfest if a city is already controlled.
There are six families of Beer represented, all with Ingredient Recipes inspired by actual brewing recipes.
LOCATION AND REGION
The Brewin' USA map is modular based, which caters to new start conditions and number of players adding even more replay value to the game. Players are competing to Control City Tiles that will help them establish majority control within a Region and thus gain Area Control by Region. Players who control Region(s) at the end of the game score one Victory Point for each craft beer market demand in that region in addition to scoring on each city tile.
If a City is already controlled by a player, you may challenge that player to a Brewfest to attempt to overtake control of the City. All players in a Brewfest have an opportunity to boost their chances of winning the Brewfest by entering ingredient cards from their hand but risk losing a key ingredient as each opponent may discard one ingredient.
The winner of a Brewfest is determined by the highest total sum of Beer and Ingredient Quality. The winner takes control of the City.
The game ends when one player launches Three Beer Cards and one more full turn is played. Victory points are scored by controlling Regions, controlling Cities, launching your Beer Cards into play, and any left over bottle caps. The highest score is the best brewery in the nation!

Risks and challenges
As an independent publisher, this is my first Kickstarter campaign. After getting a foothold with the 2014 Cards Against Humanity Tabletop Deathmatch, I have worked long and hard to refine and improve the game with feedback from multiple gamer groups.
There are always possibilities for snags in timing, but I am working with an experienced company that has a track record of great quality products. I have the privilege of working with overseas product vendors on a daily basis, and I am very familiar with the product development life cycle. I have learned to ask the right questions and obtain product samples to help avoid issues.
If there are delays, I will communicate them to backers through updates and email. In the worst case where I can't deliver a certain thing, I will offer a refund for it.
Art assets for Brewin' USA are 90% completed with the exception of the stretch goals that require input from you, the backer.
I have also been hard at work approaching Breweries around the US and partnering with them to add real American beers in the game. These partnerships are subject to change throughout the campaign as I do not own the tradmarks and logos but I have permission for their usage with this product.
Brewin' USA was fortunate enough to be a finalist in the 2014 Tabletop Deathmatch, but truly needs your help to make the production of this game a reality.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
