The Elementalist is shorthand for Spellslinger + Hardcover, so it doesn't get the bonus PDFs. I'm sorry; I know the pledge levels have grown confusing, as we keep unlocking things, but the descriptions on the homepage should be up to date.
Just wondering, Elementalist ($40) gives you the hardcover and the basic PDF, does it also give you what you got in PDF summoner as well? such as the Rogue Glory, Hero Lab FIles etc.
Or would it be a higher goal needed for the hardcover as well as those?
@Steve: We're going to include several NPCs in the Spheres of Power book, and even more in Wizard's Academy, so at least for now we're not hurting for NPCs. :)
I'm not sure you'll need more stretch goals, but you might consider putting out a set of NPCs as a stretch goal. Those could illustrate cooler parts of the rules and just make it easier for harried GMs to use Spheres of Power.
Sorry for the confusion: there is no softcover of the bestiary/module, only hardcover.
As regards the second point of business I notice that the phrase "a print copy" is used as well as "physical copy","hardback", "hardcopy", and "softback". This leads to a bit of confusion at some points. For example, at the $75 Swag Lord, they receive a "Print copy of the Bestiary/Wizard's Academy", one would assume this means a soft cover. The same is said at the $100 Ultimate collector. However, the side text of the Ultimate collector says "and a hardcover copy of every stretch goal" leading one to believe that the "Print copy of the Bestiary/Wizard's Academy" at that level is a hardcover. Is that true? I guess what I am getting at is some of the verbiage is a bit vague, it would be helpful to see it cleaned up in the center column as to what these terms actually mean at the various levels.
So this entire time I've been wondering how the Spheres of Power system would work. I just finished reading the Google Document and... that is just fantastic! I am extremely excited to see the polished work.
Thanks for giving us more stretch goals to shoot for! The full color bestiary/adventure module would be amazing! Especially in hard cover! And more sample worlds too!
Could these rituals be used by spellcasters for augmenting their spells? For example, some books have rules for optional spell components. In evil spells, for example, the villain could use a "Soul in Larval Form" to increase the the saving throw DC by +2 for the spell being cast. More than the benefits, I always felt that having optional elaborate rituals opened up role play opportunity.
I don't think you should add any more stretch goals after $33,000. Just use the extra money for whatever you want/need, whether that's more income, funding a future project, shipping, getting another artist, adding more cool things, etc. You don't need to be tied down to stretch goals to make your project cooler. It's already great, and the project will grow/succeed by your creativity plus each dollar generated, no promised stretch goals required.
I for one would love to have an Adventure Path, especially if it came with appropriate pawns and maps, as a stretch goal, available via PDF in the PDF Summoner tier. Thanks!
Full color sounds amazing! Although a full adventure path seems more enticing, especially, if it allows you to make use of a popular sample world. Perhaps we wander into an inn with an hospitable keeper named kote?
Very cool to have a look at the Google Doc! Thanks for that. Making me very excited. :D
Regarding mythic rules, will there be a full mythic path for the spheres of power type magic classes? I am really excited about mythic adventures but the two caster mythic paths are of course designed around the vancian spells. Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered! I'm so excited for this kickstarter and I'm considering donating more!
