Bibliotheca: Finished [VIDEO]

Hello, everyone.

A few things:

1. New Video

Click here to see the new video update created by the same two filmmakers who brought you the campaign video, my dear friends Daniel Williams and Joseph McMahon. I am immeasurably grateful for their talent and vision in telling this story.

For those of you who wish to share the video, here's a short link:

2. Preorders

We still have a limited supply of sets available to purchase for delivery this fall. Our preorder pricing will end next Saturday, November 12. After that, prices will go up for general buyers. Folks keep asking us whether they can still order, so please help us spread the word that copies are still available and they’ll be cheaper if preordered by November 12. Order at bibliotheca.co.

3. Big News

As the video conveys, Bibliotheca is finished. A sincere “Thank you” to all of you, again, for your early support of this idea and for your patience and encouragement throughout this lengthy process. Freight is under way, and fulfillment is on schedule to begin in early December.

On that note, Kate Shellnutt at Christianity Today published a nice article about Bibliotheca’s completion: Kickstarter’s Million-Dollar Bible Is Finally Finished.

Gotta admit, I was getting skeptical this was gonna be finished. I'm glad to see my skepticism was unfounded.

Is there an estimated shipping date?

I remember earlier in the project, those who couldn't wait, wouldn't wait, have said some really negative things about the project and about you, Adam, and your team. I sincerely hope that they find it in themselves to be apologetic, and to place an order to replace the one they canceled in their haste years ago. Thank you for sticking through till completion, you have done a great thing here, you and your team. I look forward to reading.

      Hello, everyone.

Thank you all! The team and I have been so encouraged by your expressions of eagerness and support on the comment walls and in personal messages. We deeply appreciate it, and we are as excited as ever to share Bibliotheca with you.

For those of you who have asked questions, we will follow up with you soon, but please be patient with us as we've had a lot of messages coming in these past few days. (It may take us longer than the usual 24 hours to get back to you.) The best way to connect with us if you have questions is to email support@bibliotheca.co.

      Best,

I would like to say that for all the kickstarter campaigns I have been apart of. This has been by far my favourite experience. Two years of being apart of this adventure; of seeing what goes into a good quality book. Honestly I can't remember the last time a saw a truely good quality print...of anything! Even if this had taken another two years I would have eagerly been apart of the journey and cheered you for all the effort.
I can't even imagine how tired you are from these years of stress, and I don't know if there is a chance to breath anytime soon, but know that when the time comes to relax, that you have well and truely earned it.
Finally, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you for providing the most up-to-date biblical translation. (That alone is mind boggling)
Thank you for returning to the true reading experience of these letters, histories, poems and dreams.
Thank you for the re-introducting the art and craft into producing the scriptures, rather than yet another mass produced print design to bring in money.

Thank you for being an inspiration. I know you poured your heart and soul into this, and I know that Jesus asked for nothing less from you and even though this community asked for more at times, you didn't cave. You carried this through to the end. And It was worth it. This will change lives, this will change the way people interact and know God. This will potentially change the world. I know it already changed mine.

      A million times Thankyou
      God bless

I am thrilled for you. As one who is in a creative profession, I know and understand delays. I also know and understand clients who do not understand delays. I am sorry I did not pray for you as often as I should have. Since I first saw your project, I have prayed that God would use this to His incredible glory. I believe He will, and I believe He has used you in an amazing way. You kept us in the loop, letting us know the whys of the delays, not just that there were delays. And really, whose timetable are we on - ours or His? You, my brother, have completed not just a project, but a journey of growth. Thank you for persevering and allowing God to use you. I initially ordered this as a gift for my college-age daughter, who wants to enter ministry in some area of music. It will most likely be a graduation gift. And I'm thinking that I should order one for myself, too! Thank you isn't enough. Now, go rest and be happy with the fruits of your labor.

Well done, Adam & team! Excited to enjoy the fruits of your labors!

Adam and team, the video was beautiful. Finally, the long wait is over. You have proven to the naysayers that this project is more than just words, and not merely a paper exercise (although the sight of all that paper and cloth and ink was simply … exquisite). Thank you, and God bless you.

    15. Ronnie M on

Thank you for the update. That video was amazing. I am looking forward to reading these.

Thank you so much, Adam & team, for all of your tireless labor. I am sorry that so many gave up on you too early, lacking the patience to endure. I am glad that you never gave up, and I am humbled that I have the honor to receive such a special copy of the Word of God. I can't wait. Please know that your efforts were not in vain.

I jumped into the original campaign for multiple sets. I became frustrated by the delays, but recognized there was no helping it, and concluded it was a good thing that interest exploded. Now reading the word "finished" makes my day, particularly since going back to Kickstarter and reading Adam's comments at the time of the original campaign. Now I'm re-excited about the word "delivered!"

I am thrilled to know that I will soon hold those tomes in my hands and read them finally. I have prayed that I would still be among the living and I am thankful to see the completion of the project! As I have said before and you all know I was entered into hospice a bit over a year ago and not sure I would see this day, Needless to say, I have prayed earnestly for the Lord to heal me and to bring this project to complete fruition!
Some selfish motives there!? Yes! Because of the illness I have to deal with is a tenuous and cantankerous malady and days are less a given than life's days are not a given generally!
Adam, thank you! For the vision! For the determination to see the project to the end! For a blessing you have brought to many of us! Me especially! For the entire team and their individual task, Thank you!
Allow me, If I may, ro continue with a bit of selfishness with a repeated request that I might be among the earliest shipped! It would be a blessing to me and I will thank you now if it can be done and soon!
My prayers continue with you, for you and for the team!
Blessing on you each one of all things Godly!

Praise be to God that He instilled the vision, talent and commitment to you, Adam, and all who did so much to make this possible. Think of all the people to whom the Holy Spirit will "speak" as they touch, read and feel the Word through these books. It is "a good thing" that you are doing.

It's not too hard to remodel a building to turn it into a chapel. And at first, that may be what you felt God was leading you to do, Adam. Instead you were given the task of constructing a cathedral. Do not be ashamed of the time it took you to complete, for if you were a good steward of that time and the resources for which you were entrusted to accomplish this task, then you have nothing to be ashamed of. Looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labor, and the labor of all who worked to produce the text, to construct the books, and to transport the materials and finished product.
