Hello, everyone.

I’m sorry for the long wait between updates. The end is in sight. Here’s where we stand.

All five volumes are completely printed. Binding is almost finished—three of the five volumes are completely bound, while the remaining two are in the finishing stages and will be bound by October 7. I spoke with one of our contacts at Kösel yesterday, and he has confirmed the entire order will be ready—arranged in slipcases, packed into custom shipping boxes, and ready to send over the ocean—the first week of November or sooner.

The books, weighing in at a total of about 150 tons, will be loaded onto eight forty-foot shipping containers. Our international and domestic ocean freight and trucking logistics are lined up and ready to go.

What all of this means—and what I know many of you are anxious to hear—is that if everything goes smoothly, the books will arrive in port by late November to early December, which means that U.S. orders and most international orders should arrive in time for Chanukkah and Christmas.

We will be sending numerous reminders to have you confirm or, if necessary, update your address, along with clear instructions on how to do so.

If you have any questions (other than how to update your address), please feel free to reach out to us at We’ll do our best to get back to you within 48 hours.

I sincerely wish we had been able to deliver the finished product sooner. We did our best—and I’m confident that because we took the time we did, we have made the best books we could have shipped to you. The editorial team, the researchers, the proofreaders, the scholars, and Kösel have all brought their expertise to the table to create something that I trust you’ll find enjoyable, enriching, and enduring.

That’s all for now. A more visual update is in the works, and will be posted soon.

Kind regards,

Adam & co.

Can't wait to get my hands on these volumes! It is no wonder a project of this creativity, vision, and quality has taken extra time. Patience and persistence is coming in for a Merry Christmas landing. Love the pics! I think I saw one of the volumes that'll be in my set, third stack from the right;-)

ALG tweeted me: "Before Christmas! Hoping for early December. Freight/customs makes it hard to pin down exact dates." and Christianity today published this article… is NEAR people!

      Hi Adam,

Unfortunately, neither one of those methods works for updating one's address. My $240 pledge just informs me that there have not been any surveys posted yet.

Also, I'm giving this as a gift and it comes with a personalized library emboss. How and when will we get to enter that information? I would imagine that needs to be done by the printshop, correct? Please advise. Thanks.

      Hello @Ng Jun Siang,

Thank you for reaching out. All aspects for shipping have been accounted for. Our freight shipping out of Europe will not be directly affected by events in Asia. We have partnered with a very reputable company, a global leader in shipping, who is helping to ensure all logistics go as smooth as possible with these precious books before they make their way to each of their new homes.

Thanks for all your support and patience.

      Many thanks,

Awesome update! Super excited about these and the revolution they have and will start in the Bible publishing industry! One question though. Are the ribbon markers now black instead of red? They look black from the pictures, but they're too small to tell for sure.

Great News Indeed. I predicted many months ago that the ESV Readers Bible 6 volume Set would release before this and unfortunately I was correct. Anyway, going to get both sets and hope that this will usher in a revolution in Bible production. I would love to see a quality study bible given the multi-volume treatment.

Those photos almost made me exclaim "Oh my God!" (although the words would carry their literal meaning if they did, heh)

Lovely, and even lovelier to hear they could reach in time for Christmas! I just hope recent events in shipping ( won’t cause knock-on effects that jeopardise this.

      YES! So excited!

Quick question on handling: being that the paper is not wood based (I think I'm remembering that correctly), is there any special handling requirements to make sure the volumes last a long time? Like oily hands and all that?
