My name is Adam Bunnell, and I absolutely love coffee and donuts. I've worked in the coffee industry as well as restaurants in many different roles for most of my adult life and I am really excited to put everything I have learned and experienced from working with such amazing leaders into this donut food truck.
After moving down to Los Angeles I found the food truck culture to be more advanced than anything I had experienced before and it inspired me to bring my donuts as well as a little extra swagger to a vibrant and evolving food community. Forever in the people business, this is my way of connecting and giving an amazing experience through fried dough with sugar and a good cup of coffee.
THE DONUTS. THE SPRINKLES
They are a little denser than most donuts and come at you with a balance of flavor and texture. Every donut is crafted with the mindset of a kiss of nostalgia but a foundation of quality and balance. Naturally, chocolate with sprinkles is in the starting lineup, but new favorites like miso/maple/brown sugar, lavender/honey/vanilla, and so many others will round out the roster. Over the top sweet is not really my vibe, subtle, complex, and approachable deliciousness is forever the goal for these classics.
It Starts With Donuts, Coffee, and Slow Jams.
But really that is just my hook to providing an incredibly unique experience to build memories and connect people. Sugar and dough might get you to the curb for a visit but I'm hoping it can be so much more than that, and when you leave the truck you're happier than when you first arrived.
Why I Need The Funding
The campaign funds will go to some crucial updates to the plumbing on the truck and the installation of an emergency exit for the roof. The truck has been fully permitted and is ready to hit the road but just needs a little TLC for it to truly shine. Furthermore, I have completely depleted my sprinkle budget and need emergency funds for the small batch, organic, local extra crunchy rainbow sprinkles. Thank you for taking the time to check this out. Means the world and I'll see everyone on the curb real soon.
Risks and challenges
The biggest risk & challenge will be the size of my team. It's just me (for now) with the incredible support from my family and friends. However, the permitting, licenses, donut development, playlist creation, and everything in between needed to get the truck fully permitted and ready to serve has been achieved, and now I have the opportunity to go hit the streets and share my donuts with everyone.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
