I’ve embarked upon my newest ongoing project, and I want you to be part of it! I created the Super Tough Baddies Club as a lifestyle brand for the mild-mannered rebel that lives inside us all. It’s about shaking off the trappings and expectations of modern society and embracing the weirdness that makes you unique. The club is a place for fun illustration, cool limited run merchandise, and collaborative creativity.
To make this a reality, I need your help funding our inaugural first edition of club enamel pins and embroidered patches!
Our first stretch goal is a variant of the L.E. Kat enamel pin, which we're lovingly calling the "Bad Kitty" version. At $825 pledged to the project, this pin will become available to all current and new backers.
If you've already pledged, at the end of the campaign you'll be given an option of whether you'd like the original design or this one. If you pledged at a tier with multiple pins, you'll get to pick which design you want for each one. If you back at the "Super Tough Baddy PLUS" tier, you'll receive both pin designs and a patch.
At $950, the second and final stretch goal is a die cut vinyl sticker of the Super Tough Baddies Club logo. ALL BACKERS who pledge at the $20 tier or higher will receive one FREE with their membership kit. If your tier has multiples, you'll receive one sticker per membership card.
I’ll be featuring the four “founders” of the gang in illustrations and merchandise over time. STBC isn't just about these four, but they'll play a large part in the brand, so I'd like to introduce them to you now!
L.E. is the enigmatic leader (and mascot) of the Super Tough Baddies Club. Famously generous, but also famous for getting themself into precarious situations.
Lola likes to make sure everyone is part of the conversation, and she’s always the first to brag about her friends’ accomplishments, big or small.
Davey can always be identified by his trademark denim jacket and baseball cap. He loves collecting anything that’s limited edition...just don’t call him a hoarder!
By day, this star-crossed gambler is the club's accountant, despite some members voicing concerns about his credentials.
This is the part you're here for - what kind of collectibles can I get? With STBC, I have lots of cool ideas for pins, patches, shirts, hats, and more down the line. But to start, I want to kick things off with the basics.
I’ve got manufacturing sources lined up for two items: a 1” gold-plated hard enamel pin, and a 3” round embroidered patch. This is my first time producing either, but I estimate that I will have them in-hand and ready to ship within 2 months of the end of this Kickstarter campaign. Those willing to donate at a higher tier will also be able to commission custom Baddy art in very limited quantities!
I want everyone to be part of the community of STBC as much as possible, and what’s a club without benefits? Everyone who pledges at the $9 tier or higher will receive an official numbered membership card with their order. Tiers with multiple sets will receive a card for each item ordered. These cards may be used for fun events in the future, so don’t lose them (not to mention the immense street cred for flashing one in public)!
I’ve got a lot of plans for the Super Tough Baddies Club, so receiving the funding from your support in this campaign will really help push it forward. Anyone who backs this campaign will have the honor of being part of the original founding members of the club, and will have access to exclusive preorders and sales on STBC merch in the future! You may even get to have a say in what kinds of merch I produce.
At its core, STBC will continue to produce limited run collectibles and artwork around the concept of mild-mannered rebellion. Expect lots of fun, cheeky, all-ages-appropriate stuff!
Risks and challenges
This is my first kickstarter project and I'm working with 2 manufacturers that are new to me. I have lots experience creating merchandise from my artwork in the past though, so barring any production delays or QA issues I don't expect any problems.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
