Skyrim! Skyrim! ;D
Great idea, unlimited content.
I find it a bit fast, obviously due to street view only taking an image every so many meters. could you slow it down by doing a crossfade frame between each frame, This would halve the speed, but may cause a pulsating blurry effect? Worth a shot maybe.
Now if you really want to get technical and not play it back as a video file, You could actually move each frame towards the camera in a 3D engine, fading them out as they near the camera, to reveal the next frame in the distance as it moves closer, you'd need to crop the whole image a bit though as well.
Thanks for the feedback - I think what we'll do is create several different speeds for people to try. We probably need to craft the courses to be high speed on the desert highways and lower speed on the busy or curvy areas. We'll create a variety for you all to try and we'll see what works!

great idea, but why does it have to be at 'hyper' speed? Could you slow it down?
How about a run along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful mountain views!
This is awesome!
Personally it makes me kind of dizzy and anxious feeling inside, but I'm sure others might like the fast pace. Maybe at half that speed I could take it easier, but I really enjoy taking in the scenery, and all the wild and choppy movement seems to distract from the whole rich experience of being in another place and space.
This is really cool.
And if Google stops you for using street view could we make our own, worldwide?
What is required?
A smartphone (720p) that is mounted on a bike?
Hi Melissa, have you tried https://www.youtube.com/watch…
Would love to see the St Charles Avenue streetcar line in New Orleans! Beautiful mansions and miles of a canopy of stately ancient oaks.
