Print:

Art Print (left) + Poster (right) - Truth (cover)
Art Print (left) + Poster (right) - Truth (cover)

Sitting next to one another, these two look very similar, and it's very important to keep in mind that these are just samples, and not pictures of the actual printed objects. The Art Print, for example, is waaaaay higher DPI (quality), and I believe it is mounted, and possibly laminated.
The poster is the roll up kind you can get at any store, but the difference is that it's 24x36, which is very very large comparatively.

Our need...
At some point I realized I had two options:
1. Print on Demand
2. Print Wholesale

While print on demand sounds awesome, it's actually absurdly expensive, and the final result isn't as nice as it could be in some areas, especially for the price.

The obvious answer is Wholesale! This way I can make the product much cheaper, AND higher quality on all fronts!

That's where you come in dear reader!

I have poured my life into this project over the last six months, and invested nearly 2000 hours, and possibly more, into making this product visually, intellectually, and Spiritually captivating.

I sincerely hope that you will consider supporting this project!
Help me spread The Word of God abroad in a way that has scarcely been attempted before!

Transformation...
The primary difference between the current prototype, and the final product, will be in the quality of the materials used.
Cleaner cuts on the cards, with slightly more commercial cardstock; and most definitely thicker, and more flexible cardstock for the giant tuck box packaging.
General rules will be provided, per usual, on glossy document sheets, but the Kickstarter release will feature a few cheat sheets made from cardstock, as well.
Finally, one of the more exciting additions will be replacing the foam well insert with a vacuum formed tray, with which the user will be able to play the game directly from the tray as soon as the game is pulled out of the tuck box.

Manufacturing...

Right now, my top pick is a company called Admagic, with whom I am in constant contact with via their fabulous customer service representative: Amy.
Admagic is famous for their printing of the popular game, "Cards against Humanity". Obviously nothing like Truth thematically, but in terms of production quality, very nice, and certainly something to look forward to.

Distribution...
I have been planning to go with Fulfillment by Amazon for quite some time, but recently have been reconsidering because of the fees. The alternative would be shipping from home, but I'm determined to make it work with Amazon if possible, and if this fundraiser successful enough.

History...
For the last five years, I have been ranting about making a game. I conceptualized about two ideas over the years, attempting to acquire artists and programmers, etc, before finally coming to my third idea: Truth.
The difference this time, was that I had a little bit of money, and most of all, I was determined to make this project glorify God.
I started out by using all black vector silhouettes, and at the time, my intention was to make a very plain, small, and simple game.
I came to a point where I felt like I was ready to hire an Artist, and by the grace of God, Joemel Requeza made a bid on the Truth project on Elance.
Out of about fourteen other bidders, not only was he my top pick out of three finalists, but on top of that he was the only Christian person, AND because Truth is a Christian themed game, he made the lowest bid by far.
Working with Joemel dramatically changed my vision for the game.
Through the process, I ended up changing the game to something completely different at least four or five times; and then the rule set refinement process took a few months, as well.
We went from a game of simple images in my own design phase, to Joemel crafting intricate backgrounds. That's a long story in and of itself.
I would send him long emails and descriptions and images from Google of various concepts, with instructions on combining ideas, and he would send back progress reports with examples, or sketches.
Some images like Hope for example, the candle, were done very quickly, and with great precision and vision on his part.
A few others were tougher to nail down, but eventually we got them to a wonderful place; and I now count myself blessed to call Joemel my friend and brother in Christ as an unexpected result of this great work.

During the down times of waiting for progress reports from Joemel, I was working on a great many things, but particularly the design layout and rule sets of the product, and especially the Bible verses.
When you do a word search throughout the King James Bible for just about any uncommon term, you are going to get an average of 200 to 500 results. In other words, that word occurs 200 to 500 times in various verses throughout the King James Bible. For more common words, like "Lord" for example, you are going to get 1000's and 1000's of occurrences.
I settled for 14 themes in the end, but over the course of research and design, I actually searched for many more than that. Probably more than 50, because of plurals mostly (truth, truly, true, truthfully, etc), but also because of some different ideas for themes I had and then later scrapped for whatever reason.
To give you an example of the kind of research that went into making this game, all we've got to do is multiply 50 by, say, 300, and we get 15,000 Bible verses. Because I didn't just read each word, but rather each Bible verse.
Now, some of the verses are much longer than the average sentence, but to give you a better idea about how much information that is, let's say that the average sentence has 10 words in it, then we multiply 15,000 by 10 and we get 150,000 words on average.

Secular example:
J.R.R Tolkien's classic novel "The Hobbit" is about 95,000 words, and I think something like 320 pages long, though I could be mistaken on the pages number.

And that was just the first read through on verses. The first time I went through I chose as many verses as I could find that were making declarative statements about the way things are. (absolutisms or Truths)
For example:

Job 28:18 (KJV)
Job 28:18 (KJV)

I tried to avoid proper names, except when referring to God or Jesus, or unless it was a part of a general statement of Truth and absolutism.

This, for example, would not be used, though profound in it's defining of Wisdom being in Solomon's "Heart" in particular, and also that God is the one who gives Wisdom:
1 Kings 10:24 (KJV)
And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

I also tried to avoid verses where the singular verse does not identify the speaker, or the statement is personal to the speaker. With more information we find them to be truths, but often times expressed in chunks of information which are too large to fit onto a card, and generally too large to be practical and concise, memorable, and repeatable bits of knowledge.

For example:
1 Kings 3:9-10 (KJV)
Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

The above is more of a story, rather than a declarative statement of Truth. Yes, there are eternal Truths in that verse, but it's derived information, and not exact information. Anytime we get into the area of interpretation, cults get started, even when the interpretation is obvious to all readers, the moment we open that door, we can get ourselves into trouble, especially in our reasoning abilities.
Obviously these kinds of things need to be discussed, and especially backed up with other Scriptures, and when at all possible, it's best to use The Word of God to interpret The Word of God at all times.

Though, initially this may seem like a Paradox, our foundational verses must be in declarative statements about the way things are. Truth.
For example:

Genesis 1:1-2 (KJV)
Genesis 1:1-2 (KJV)

Another example:

John 14:6 (KJV)
John 14:6 (KJV)

So, my criteria was very strict, and after my first read through, I had lists for each category, and then I went through those lists and cut out verses that weren't as concise, and repeated that step usually 1 to 3 times more before being done with any one category.

The point in explaining all of this is to express to my readers, and hopefully backers by the end of this rant, that this project isn't just some silly game that somebody whipped out one day.
I'm not just some young guy that is doing this for some devious money driven scheme. This is the greatest thing I have done in my entire life.
Most things involved in this project I had no skill or talent in before I started it. I grew up playing Baseball, and for the last few years have been pursuing a Singing career.

It has been incredibly painful overcoming these learning curves, but let the fruits of this project be a testimony of the power of God in my life, and most of all in his plan for the furtherance of #Truth.
I urge you to make the choice to be a part of God's plan for this project.
In this dark era, let us be among them who speak The Word of God at all times, because otherwise, we're losing the battle! And I don't wanna stand before the Lord one day and tell him that I was too busy living for the world to get out there and hand some folks some Bible Scripture cards, or hold up a sign, or whatever!

Gird up your loins with strength, my friends! It's time to draw the Sword!

Risks and challenges

My biggest challenge is turning off!!!
I have become so used to pushing, and working for hours and hours, that it is now common place for me to be working on the project for 14 hours or more a day.
As I write this, I have been working for more than 12 hours already, and might work up to 20 hours today!
Sometimes I get exhausted and wonder if there's ever going to be a break, but then after a bit of unplugged sleep, the next day comes and I am ready to get back to work!
What a blessing it is to know that my work is for the Glory of Christ our Lord, and to be empowered in his Word!!!

After this project is funded, a whole new frontier will be open to me.
Marketing, advertising, networking, etc.
I'll be in meetings with pastors to show them the product, I'll be handing out business cards directing folks to our website, I'll be putting up posters in public places, and I'll be attending game conventions when I can afford it.
I've talked with manufacturers and distribution companies, I've researched retail versus web, I've prepared for so, so long.

Now it's time to hoof it! I'm ready, and I'm excited to see it through!
Join me!

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
