“My Ukrainian American Story” is a thirty-six page children’s picture book written and illustrated by Adrianna Bamber. Adrianna has wonderfully paired cultural moments with detailed color illustrations. Join female protagonist Oksana as she shares her world filled with the customs, dance, food, craft, music and holiday traditions passed down from generations of Ukrainians.
“My Ukrainian American Story” is for everyone interested in learning about and celebrating Ukrainian American culture. It is aimed for children ages 4 - 6 or grades K - 2. Younger children will enjoy having this book read to them and older children will enjoy reading it on their own.
If you know someone in your community who would love to have this book for their children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, neighbors, students, library patrons, please share this with them. MyUkrainianAmericanStory.com
Adrianna Bamber, aka A.Bamber. Adrianna is both the author and illustrator of “My Ukrainian American Story”. Double whammy! Adrianna is also a designer and pretty skilled at operating a sewing machine. Note: handmade Oksana doll. Adrianna was inspired by her childhood memories and love of Ukrainian culture to create this book.
Adrianna's other illustration work can be viewed at abamber.com and on social media.
