Update 2: Artists & Essayists!
Hello! The stretch goals have been reached, so I'm pleased to announce some folks who are contributing to this project. First...
Quinn Wilson is a San Diego-based gamewright, podcaster, and MFT trainee. Their proudest works are the Swallows of the South podcast and the games Flavortown: A Modern Tale and Queer Fantasy Roadtrip. You can hear their thoughts on game design and narrativity discussed with Rob Stith on the Campfire podcast.
Quinn's contributing an essay on "the problem of a disproportionate mechanical focus on combat" in regards to RPG writing, and if you're not into that, I'll fight you. The essay will be in the Icy City Explainer that all backers get.
Shay Ungerer is a comic artist and illustrator currently based out of Minneapolis. Their work includes "Parsec Conflux," a 30 page sci-fi comic depicting themes of scientific ethics and found family in a not-so distant future. Their interests range from aliens and science theory to prose work to video games and tabletop RPGS.
Shay's contributing a couple images for D&D-in-space class options.
Puck Saint makes fun comics the best she can. Her work focuses on alt fantasy, hyperfixation, and waste. Her favorite kinds of comics are small, compact works that are lost and found in pockets and on shelves. See more of her work at gumroad.com/pucksaint.
Puck's contributing four images...for a whole new zine! Digital versions will be included with every backer level, and a physical version will come with the Brown Box. It's a half-size zine about SLIME FIGHTERS.
And I'm still looking for at least one more essayist to pay for a contribution. Tweet at me!
