Shipping Update & News

Dear Backers & Amigans,

Phil here.

As i said a couple days ago i had a day long meeting with manufacturer today Monday 16th Jan.

Long story short these are some of the topics we discussed:

  • At end of week 95% of cases are going to be shipped already.
  • Remaining cases are mainly the extreme low numbered colors like pink (which will be shipped a couple days later) or the 1x Lukhash Xclusive case.
METAL SERIE cases are undergoing their special treatment. And they WILL look awesome ;)
But this needs extra time and it is processed in UK as well.
  • RMI v1, the management interface you're currently using has been developed by me. So starting tonight i'll work on a new update on my laptop to add a tracking number field just next to shipping status. This was in fact not planned when i've developed it at first.

So after i've met packing & shipping manager, and as a couple backers requested this directly to me, we came up with a solution so i could integrate this extra step within their work process without interfering much with their operations.
It'll be useful for a couple days only but at least you'll get the information ;)
    - Please also note:   Backers which cases has been shipped already will certainly not see any tracking numbers right now, as i'm adding this function afterward in fact.
  • - PPA.PL & A1K.ORG Bulk shipments are about to be picked up by Thursday or Friday as well.
  • I had a very long work session (almost all day in fact) about the new keyboard. There's quite a lot of technical specs and details & options we're about to chose that needed to be discussed. We're still a bit far from completion, and we'll not unveil anything yet but rest assured, you're going to like it!
    So R&D continues on this.
  • This mean that third campaign will NOT be about the keyboard yet, and will be launched when keycaps are shipped to backers. We'll keep you updated in some time about that.

I'm now on my way back to airport.
These last two weeks has been quite difficult for me, i'm really touched to those backers who sent me their kind and comforting words through private & public messages. Thank you guys.

So now with an almost 24 hours trip back home and without much internet connection, if you have questions you can always reach the Team by comments or on our Facebook page ;)

New photos from factory are also to be published on FACEBOOK by Seppo shortly.

Many thanks again to all of you.(yes again, there is never enough thank you!)
Because of you the Amiga 1200 has new cases, as that's just absolutely awesome.
Amiga computers will also have new keycaps shortly! And that's even better as this makes the A1200 with a totally new & clean look ;)

Cheers,
Phil

agree with traal. so many A500's out there screaming for new cases.

i see on the interface that the only thing missing for me is the "Commodore: The Amiga Years" Book.
any news on those delayed books?

I think either an A500 case or an optical tank mouse would make a nice third campaign. :-)
