Screenings and Pre-Orders

I have loads of updates for you!

A number of screenings have been scheduled for the film, which you can find on the blog. A fantastic friend (I shall henceforth call him Agent Mike) and I are working to book more of those, and we'll add them to the list as they are confirmed.  I'd rather the DVD were already out prior to screenings kicking off, but I didn't want to skip opportunities just because of that. There have been two screenings in the US so far, first at MIT and second at the University of Maryland. Both went swimmingly, and both had industry celebrities in attendance! The first-ever review of the film was written by Andrew Plotkin following the MIT event. The University of Maryland screening was attended by none other than Andrew Looney of Looney Labs, creator of the Fluxx game series. He tweeted about it the next day.

The DVD is essentially done. There are a couple more tweaks and hooks to set in the menu, but it's basically there. I kept it simple, but pretty much filled every bit of it with board gaming goodness (see below; it's a work in progress, mind you...). There are 27 bonus clips - three would not FIT on the disc, but I'll find a way to get those out (probably as first-look links for you Kickstarter folks).

The BUY NOW button is also live on the website as of yesterday evening!  By all means, tell all your friends and relatives about it.  The "Product Detail" link currently goes to a flyer with some details about what's included, but I'll update that with something classier as soon as I can.  Everything - menu building, interviews, screenings, publicity - is happening at once right now, so it's kinda hectic.  In a good way.

PLEASE NOTE: All Kickstarter packages will ship out before regular orders. I'll be boxing those items up today so they are ready to hit the ground running as soon as the DVD shipment arrives.  We're estimating the DVDs will be here mid-February.  About a week before I start shipping, I will contact EVERYONE for a final check on your addresses.  Feel free as always to message me directly here on Kickstarter if you want to update that information.

We've also done a list of people interviewed in the film. It's something you can easily share on social channels, so have a look.

I know, Nick, it's hard to believe. I would call it a SAGA. :)

Has it really almost been a year??? Thanks for all the hard work, and glad the first two screenings went well. Really excited to see this one.
