Every $ goes towards the making of a song. If 100 people pledge $1, another song gets made. If 10 people pledge $10, another song gets made. Or you can pledge $100 and get a song of your very own!
THE INFINITE MINUTE
How many songs can one person write?
I want to see how many one-minute songs I can write (hint: the number is equal to how many you want me to write.) Could be one song, could be a thousand. I'll be happy with any number. Because I like writing songs.
I'm setting aside the month of December to start the Infinite Minute - I bet I can write 100 songs in a month! Let's find out.
KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE ALBUM
Backing this Kickstarter will be the only way to get these songs. Ever.
PLEDGE ANY AMOUNT FOR FULL ACCESS AND DOWNLOADS
Every pledge of $1 or more comes with access to the songwriting process and downloads of every single song on the Infinite Minute album.
Every $ goes towards the making of a song. If 100 people pledge $1, another song gets made. If 10 people pledge $10, another song gets made.
A SONG OF YOUR VERY OWN
You can get your own one-minute song for $100. You give me two words, which I feed into my random song making generator (a.k.a. my brain) and then I dance the song making dance and then a one-minute song comes out. One minute songs are a fun, quick, grab-bag of song making. Like a sketch is to a painting.
Do you need a theme song? A love song? A song for skipping down the street? An outgoing phone message? A custom ring-tone? A soundtrack? A gift? A song to put pants on by? A song to take pants off by?
This is your moment to get a cracking one-minute song just for you. Or your mom. Or your web-series. Or your game. Sponsor a song and it is yours to use as you please.*
WINTER IS COMING
And with winter comes Christmas, and with Christmas comes the inevitable,
"WTF should I get for so-and-so?!!"
Get them an Infinite Minute song! Problem solved.
I am writings songs in the order they are pledged for. The first 30 will be ready by Christmas, guaranteed! (This number may go up.) You can also present the giftee with a certificate and let them choose the two words after Christmas - your choice.
AM I CRAZY?
Yes, there is a reward where you can get 101 songs and I will attempt to write them all in a week, in which time I will probably go crazy. But it will be probably be a good crazy. Probably.
WHAT WILL THE SONGS BE LIKE?
Sometimes I write electro-pop, sometimes I write rock, or country, or folk, or cabaret. I play guitar (electric and acoustic), banjo, synthesizer, accordion, drums, ukulele, pots and pans, typewriters, marionettes, and hammer dulcimer. The songs could be simple or complex. Each song will be different. Some will be slow, some will be sad, some will be happy, some will be silly, some will be loud. Some songs will have many instruments, some will only have one. The songs will be unique, each one its very own creature.
The songs so far:
Here are more examples of one-minute songs I wrote based on two words given to me by different people. (These pre-date the launch of this Kickstarter, I wrote all three in the same day as a test for myself.)
Every song written for this project will be released to every single backer of this Kickstarter.
I will be posting updates and songs daily, but for sanity's sake - your's mostly - I will send out downloads once a month. Every song written in December will be released at the end of December, and so on...
The Infinite Minute will never be made publicly available. The only way to get access to these songs is by backing this Kickstarter. Don't wait for the album to come out, because it never will - except for here, for you.
HOW MANY SONGS ARE POSSIBLE?
Ok, listen, I can write a lot of songs, it's like a superpower I have. But I suppose there would be a point where it would get... actually impossible.
I think I can write 100 one-minute songs in a month. And 1000 one-minute songs in a year. I don't actually foresee there being a problem because the number would have to be in the many thousands before it became really untenable. But maybe we should find out. For science.
*The Fine Print (damn fine, if you ask me...)
- When I say that your one-minute sponsored song is yours to use as you please I really mean it. You can use it as a soundtrack for a commercial film or game for no additional charge. I only ask that if you plan to sell my song for cash money (separate from the film/game/whatnot) you get in touch with me first and we have a little chat about that.
- Sometimes I swear in songs, or sing about "mature" things like sex and drugs. You can tell me whether you want the song clean, SFW, all-audiences friendly. Like, if you are commissioning a song for a child, or someone who doesn't like sex or drugs or swearing.
- I won't write songs about hate, racism, sexism, etc...

Risks and challenges
This could end up being a very ambitious project. You might want me to write hundreds of songs. And I will. At the very minimum I will write one song a day. I know I can do it because I've done it before.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
