A rift between realms has opened, flooding the skies with giant flying beasts. Now, thrust together, these great creatures are locked in an endless war of dominance for the new Empyrean.
Titans of Empyrean is a tactical combat game for 2 players where the goal is to eliminate all of your opponent's titans. Take to the air with one of four groups of mythical beasts: manticores, griffins, pegasi, and dragons. Play maneuver cards to strengthen your titans or weaken your opponent. But play wisely - those maneuver cards are also your life! Choose your faction, select your decks, and face off for supremacy of the skies.

Once players have selected their titans and arranged the board, players take turns based on the unique initiative number on their respective titans. Each turn, each titan must move and may attack other titans within range.
Each titan also has its own stack of maneuver cards, however, playing them must be done carefully. While powerful cards can give you a great advantage on the board, those cards must be discarded to heal your titan's wounds. When the cards run out, so do your titans' life force!
Take a look at a gameplay video below, or check out our rulebook, which our graphic designer is working on fancying up now and should be updated soon. And, if you'd like, you can get a copy of the print-and-play right here.
For our social stretch goals, we have a few non-aligned Titans designed already, and as we get more shares, we'll let backers vote on which one they want to include! And, if you have suggestions for other species of Titans, we're always open to suggestions!
If you're going to be at Dreamation or PAX East you can meet up with us there! We'd love to get in a game with you! If you can't make it to either of those conventions, you can reach us on Twitter at @NineKingdoms, check out our website, like us on Facebook, or become a fan on Board Game Geek!
Risks and challenges
As with any project, there are of course any number of things that could go wrong with the project, but we're not concerned. Here's why...
We ran the ApocalypZe campaign and Doug, who joined Nine Kingdoms earlier this year, ran the Gothic Doctor campaign, so we've got two campaigns under our collective belt.
Now, of course, if a portal to a dimension filled with mythical flying beasts opens up in the skies over New York and New Jersey, all bets are off...but short of that, we're confident that we'll be delivering a great project to you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
