It’s now only 24 hours remain till the end of the campaign. Thank you very much for your support, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve our goals without you. Once the campaign is over, please make sure to complete your pledge manager, so we know what exactly you’ve ordered! Also, feel free to upgrade your pledges to include additional models and items. We have now completed the print of 3D models and will start casting process in a coming week. We don’t expect casting to take longer than a month, and although we have indicated the “delivery” time to be September, we will try to do our best to deliver your orders before that. Thank you once again for your continuous support and stay tuned for further updates!
Oh, the pirates! Don’t we just love them?
Admit, you have, and we are sure many times, imagined yourself standing on the quarterdeck, squinting at the vastness of the blue ocean around you through the old, brass spyglass or steering the large wood-carved wheel to lead your ship out of the imminent danger or even imagined yourself shouting “BOARD!!!” and with a sword drawn rushed into a heat of fight.
Nothing can beat that feeling of freedom and danger taking over you, all simultaneously, as the hull cuts through the waves and the wind fills the tall sail. The smell of sea and anticipation of adventures raises up in your blood.
Buccaneers, Privateers, Corsairs, Filibusters... whatever you call them – sea wolfs or sea dogs, marauders or raiders, as soon as you hear the word “Pirate” a clear image pops into our heads.
Now, close your eyes and imagine... A hat, a vest, a pistol or a two, a sword or a dagger, messy hair or no hair at all, stubbles or a beard, perhaps even a black one... weathered faces and clothes, wooden legs, monkeys or parrots, chests of treasures and rum!
This collection is our TRIBUTE to all the pirate stories and books that we’ve read and movies and cartoons that we’ve watched and loved so much.
The campaign includes Seventeen 75mm resin figures (1/24 scale) and TWO SECRET 75mm figures. We also included six resin busts in 1/14 scale and many additional items to create a tavern diorama, including ONE SECRET SCENE into this campaign. We also sculpted and printed alternative versions of heads and arms for most of our pirates (excluding monster pirates and ladies), which means you can assemble a pirate during a daytime or nighttime in the tavern!
All our products are packed in high quality box:
Please feel free to pop into online shop (https://9gate-miniatures.com) to see others pirate busts available now for sale, which were not included into our Kickstarter project
To challenge your creativity and painting skills, as a part of the new collection, we will be offering 2 alternative settings – pirates in a day light; and pirates at night, under the bright moonlight and in the tavern lit by candles.
P.S. More alternative versions of the heads, arms and other items will be available for sale from our website after we finish our campaign at the Kickstarter. You will be also able to buy separate bodies of our pirates in the case if you want to create two or more different versions of our pirates.
Can you make the multiple pledges on Kickstarter?
Some prospective backers have contacted us to let us know that they would want to make several pledges, for example – to pledge for one copy of the figure for themselves and one or more to give away as a gift for their friends. It is great news, since it will help the campaign to reach its goal faster, however, Kickstarter does not allow to one person to pledge more than once in the same campaign. There are two options to overcome it:
1. Accordingly to the KS rules, backers can only choose one reward tier per pledge. You can, however, change your pledge amount and reward selection for as long as a project is live. At the end of the campaign, you would just need to indicate which figures or scenes you would like to get.
2. Create another account with the KS under a separate email.
Please note that you will only pay for delivery once. We will combine all required items and figures as one single parcel.

Risks and challenges
We are prepared to deliver a top quality product. We have learned a lot about the resin casting process during the past few years, and now we know a lot of things we should do. We have a talented team of expert casters ready to go, we don't foresee any production delays.
We are aware that production problems can appear down the line, as well as logistics problems and a plethora of other risks. We have contingency plans in place to deal with those when and if they come, and we pledge to you to be transparent in our communication: if anything goes wrong, you will be the first to know.
However, we have done our best to ensure the overall risk is minimal and we will continue to do so until this project is finished and your rewards are delivered to your doorsteps. You can rest assured that we will do everything in our power to achieve that goal to your satisfaction!
Although we work day by day with the best professionals to manufacture our products, different problems can arise from the production process to the delivery. However, we are firmly committed to its resolution in the shortest possible time. Some possible risks or challenges are:
Delivery time: it will depend on the quantity to be produced and the volume of deliveries to be made. If the campaign is hugely successful, there may be delays in the deadlines.
Broken pieces: although the 9th Gate Miniatures team ensures that each piece passes an exhaustive quality control, sometimes during the delivery process the pieces could break or suffer deformations. You can always order a broken part at our website.
If the campaign becomes a success, it could generate additional work that can take an extra time to be completed, in which case you might experience short delays so that our quality do not compromise.
Shipping costs: to make things easier for everyone, we’ve tried to set the shipping costs, so our backers know in advance how much it will cost them to have their orders delivered once the campaign has ended. However, in some cases, depending on the quantity of the miniatures ordered and the delivery destination, the shipping cost may go up.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
