About this project
Orthus Exile: Asylum of the Divine is an atmosphere rich RPG being developed for the PC. It is heavily inspired by Dark Souls and Final Fantasy. Orthus Exile features an entrancing story in a haunting atmosphere... from the beginning of the playable demo, players will be sucked into the mystery of Orthus, an amnesiac in a terrifying world. Over the course of the game, Orthus discovers his horrible past, and his future will depend on you! Featuring multiple endings, as well as an open world that deeply rewards exploration, Orthus Exile completely does away with random battles, while maintaining a difficulty on par with such titles as Dark Souls. Player's have total control over their character stat progression, and skills come exclusively from items that the player has found. This opens up many different viable character builds. To experience everything that Orthus Exile has to offer, players will want to play through the roughly 15-hour campaign multiple times!

The demo will take players 20 - 30 minutes to complete.
Risks and challenges
The primary risks associated with the project are in balancing and tweaking the game to a perfect balance of fun and difficulty in time. With support from the community of active play testers, I do not believe this will be an issue.
Being a one man development team is a challenge in and of itself, but a successful campaign will give me the "fire" I need every day to keep going and deliver to the community. At all times I will treat the community with respect and communicate with transparency. Each backer will be treated with the respect an investor deserves.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
