Greetings, human friends! Our new album of electro-folk-science-rock "The Fossil Record" is about to be unleashed upon planet Earth!
For the past eight years our quirky brand of humorous science-inspired music has earned us fans from around the world. Our videos have been played in science classrooms, college courses, science film festivals, and fossil festivals, and our songs have been featured on countless radio shows ranging from "The Dr. Demento Show" to German Public Radio.
We've performed live at the American Chemical Society's Annual Conference (the largest gathering of scientists in the country), PBS SoCal's "TED Talks: Education Revolution," the LA County Natural History Museum, the Columbia Memorial Space Center, and this past year we received perhaps our greatest honor yet: an invite from the Cassini Mission's project scientist to witness the Cassini spacecraft's Grand Finale as it plummeted into Saturn, an invitation that came as a result of our song and video "Cassini Dive Go!" Yeah, we're still blown away by that.
Now we're preparing to release our third full-length album "The Fossil Record." We're trying to raise $6,000 to finish it, mix and master it, and get it out into the world! We have big plans for this album and we're hoping you'll be a part of it. Over the past eight years we've developed a collaborative-style relationship with our fans and we hope to increase the size and scale of that with this album. ONWARD!!!
Risks and challenges
The risks of investing in this project are minimal. Probably the only obstacle to releasing this album would be if an asteroid struck Earth before we could complete it and wiped out human civilization. Otherwise, there should be nothing standing in our way of releasing this collection of cosmically awesome science music.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
