We will make the Dry Bones eBook Haggadah available for all formats. We will have a version that will work with an iPad, Android,Samsung tablet, PC, ect. It will not work with a Kindle as they do not support graphics.
The purpose of this Kickstarter project is to create the manuscript for the Dry Bones Haggadah, with beautiful artwork, and commentary on the text with a Dry Bones style and flavor. We will have a manuscript that can immediately be turned into eBooks for this Passover. Of course we intend to do a print run in the future. When printed books are available for sale, we will be letting our supporters know about it, and giving discounts to supporters. We value you, and we want to take the time to print the book in the best way possible.
We will make the Haggadah even better. The Dry Bones Haggadah Project has received incredible support and this will enable us to do much more than we had originally planned. I'm dying to explain our new and exciting plans, so here goes. We originally planned to do our Haggadah by using MS Word. Typing in the text and pasting in accompanying Dry Bones cartoon illustrations ...We would then have been able to save the Word document as a PDF file. That original idea was a "down and dirty" plan which would have actually enabled us to create a simple, readable Dry Bones Haggadah, but thanks to the amazing support of you Dry Bones Friends and Fans we've gone beyond that original goal!! With these additional funds we can now approach the project in a totally new way. It's sort of complicated, but I'll try to explain. Instead of just pasting repetitive artwork designs and a number of cartoons into MS Word, and then saving it all at a size that would be printable on letter-size paper at a fairly low resolution, I will now be creating original Dry Bones artwork and cartoon commentaries for each and every page. Then we will scan all the artwork at a very high resolution. We will then have layout professionals use professional programs (Adobe's Adobe inDesign, etc.) to use those high resolution scans to create a number of different potential versions of the Haggadah (each, of course in different formats and layouts). These different potential versions of the Dry Bones Haggadah would and could include: A larger hard cover "Leader's Haggadah", slightly smaller soft cover versions, special versions designed for IPads and tablets, and the possibility of a giant, coffee table version. Together we are creating what could become the Haggadah for generations to come.
