The ReadyXO Crayon Box is my first invention and my solution to a problem children and parents have had for 100 years, preventing spills and lost crayons. This premium ReadyXO Crayon Box will set the young artist apart from the rest and the parents will be seen as geniuses for owning a box that does not tip over and spill crayons all the time. Thanks to its patent pending Anti-Tip design your time will no longer be spent picking up crayons. And when not in use the lid stays on and the crayons stay in.
- Parents: Back-to-school is coming. If you want yours in September this is your limited time chance.
- Businesses and Philanthropists: Display your logo or message as prominently as the "Apple" on a Mac laptop. Keep your business in your customers minds.

Donate a Crayon Box to children in need.
Even if you don't have children, you can provide the first tools of artistic creation to children living in economically challenging situations. ReadyXO has created rewards for you to donate crayon boxes to No Crayon Left Behind, a 501c3 non-profit that collects crayons from restaurants, businesses and individuals and turns them into something extraordinary—an opportunity for creative expression many children would not be afforded due to economic challenges.
You will find two rewards to donate crayon boxes: one for NCLB to distribute and one for NCLB to provide US advisors to distribute to children in rough parts of the world (Websites like Khans Academy will be on the box). I will be happy to create a reward with bulk pricing for specific numbers of boxes you would like to donate. Just contact me through Kickstarter. You can learn more about No Crayon Left Behind here, or visit their FB page today!

Color on the plane.

The ReadyXO crayon box is my first invention. I created it to solve one of the first problems I remember growing up, preventing crayon spills. Well, that and wanting round-the-clock Dukes of Hazard. And while that last problem might have been solely mine to bear in the early 1980s, amazingly, for 100 years children and parents have all had to face the problem of cleaning up crayons after they spilled. Don't you remember how annoying it was when the crayon box tipped over and spilled crayons? Well that feeling goes double for parents when crayons get ground into the carpet. As a kid I also didn't like throwing the crayons into big containers or, for some of us, cigar boxes, because it took away the neat clean look the crayons originally had. So I found an amazing engineer and did something I should have done decades ago when I was still a wee lad; I fixed the problem. And now I'd like to share it with the world. I think you and your kids will love it.

Risks and challenges
ReadyXO has worked extremely hard to prepare this product for Kickstarter and lined up full-scale manufacturing with a company that can supply large volume, but here are what I see as the risks:
The pre-production stage includes tooling to manufacture a product of these specifications. Tooling is expensive and requires expert knowledge to get it right. There is typically a two month lead time to create the molds, which are where some delays could occur. Between my Engineer Jonathan Yaffe of Javelin MEC and my manufacturer Phoenix Analysis and Design Technologies we will make any delays short as possible.
As we gear up for production, there will likely be some minor adjustments to improve the final product. We will always be making product improvements to make it better, and we'll let you know exactly how and why any are made. I am working with a manufacturer who has years of experience delivering excellent products in tremendous quantities. There will probably be some surprises along the way, but any obstacle will be addressed by combining very experienced internal knowledge between my Engineer and Manufacturer with any external counsel I require to solve any problem that arises.
My overall goal is to make the best possible product for you and your children.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
