The Good Samaritan is a quirky and humorous short film about a clever girl, Alice, and her curious run in with hapless Con man, Nick, who doesn't know you should never judge a book by its cover.
Nick wanders downtown Austin on a mission for a new partner. After witnessing Alice dumpster diving he believes he's found what he's been looking for. What follows is a lesson he won't soon forget.
Welcome to The Good Samaritan, a short-film project that we've been developing since the beginning of this year. We are excited to have reached this point where the script is ready to move in to production and we need to do some fundraising.
The Good Samaritan, written by Marian Yeager, is Elizabeth Yeager and Marian's fifth short film to produce together. We are looking forward to getting back behind the camera, facing all the challenges that come with short filmmaking and the pleasure of bringing you along. We have created this page to share the process with everyone, and to ask for your help to bring Alice's story to life.
We are hoping with your help we'll reach our budgetary goal of $3,600. We truly believe in the potential of the script and know in order to capture the story and Marian's directorial vision, we’ll need to enlist the help of talented actors, a creative crew, and obtain interesting locations that will bring our film up to the highest of quality. With your donations we will be able to put into place all of these elements.
We truly appreciate anything you can give and look forward to go on this journey with you.
