This is the story of a tiny kitty with big dreams all her own.
Tiny Kitty has tried a lot of careers in her short life, but none of them have been a good fit. Engineer? Using a calculator is hard with paws! Quality control? Chewing on things and breaking them is so much more fun! Designer? It's hard to communicate your ideas when you can't use words. Cook? Working in a hot kitchen is miserable when you have a fur coat. Construction worker? You need thumbs for that! Exterminator? TK's actually pretty good at killing bugs — the problem is that she's not very efficient.
But now, she's found her true calling — modeling. As a model (and with the help of creative backgrounds), Tiny Kitty can do anything she wants. She can even be an astronaut or meet dinosaurs!
We'll be collecting the best of Tiny Kitty's adventures into a book that TK will use as her modeling portfolio. You can use it as a story time book to inspire your cat! (Or you could read it to your kids? It will be family and kid friendly — she's just a tiny kitty.)
Aren't there enough pictures of cats on the internet?
Definitely not. But let's be real — how many collages with adorable kittens photoshopped in have you seen lately? Probably none. (Unless you're Facebook friends with me. If we're Facebook friends, you've seen a lot of them.)

What will the Tiny Kitty is Awesome campaign fund?
If Tiny Kitty reaches her funding goal, we'll use the $$$ to purchase supplies to make backdrops that will allow me to document the secret thoughts of the uncommon housecat. We'll need a lot of construction paper and a new pair of scissors. Maybe if TK and I are feeling wild we'll get some glitter and an X-Acto knife. I've also budgeted for treats and toys for TK to reward her for playing along. The majority of the funding goal is dedicated to reward fulfillment, taxes, and Kickstarter/Amazon fees.
Where are we now and where is this going?
I've planned and scheduled out all photoshoots over the next two months. As soon as the campaign is funded, the magic will begin to happen. All photos will be taken by September 9th — Tiny Kitty's first birthday. I'll have a showing with all of the photos on display around then. Want to come to the party? Pick the $200 reward level for an invitation. After that, it's back to work! Postcards will be printed by the end of September and mailed out in October. (TK's paws would cramp if I made her sign all the postcards at one time.) The ebook will be a work in progress throughout the campaign as pictures are taken and will be sent to everyone in October. Physical copies of the book will be ordered in October and sent out in time for holiday gifting.
Why should you trust me?
I've taken thousands of pictures of TK over the past few months in preparation for this project. We've developed a strong working relationship and she trusts me to capture her inner and outer beauty. I know which is her good side and what lighting makes her eyes sparkle.
Making construction paper collages is just as difficult as taking quality pictures of an active tiny kitty. I've been practicing my scissor skills to get ready. Have you cut out fifty tiny stars for a flag before? Don't worry, I've got it under control.
Just look at the detail on this ice cream cone.
Will any tiny kitties be harmed during this project?
Of course not. I've even budgeted treats and toys into the funding goal to keep TK happy. TK has all of her sharp points though, so I may be harmed. It's a risk I'm willing to take.
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge for the Tiny Kitty's campaign is that the star of the show is a tiny kitty and tiny kitties will do what they want. That doesn't always include sitting still long enough for pictures.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
