and Every day we enjoy cooking and preparing tasty gourmet meals, for these tasks it is important having the best tools around you, because it makes cooking and preparing food easier and much more fun.
This is why we like to design knives that are affordable, easy to use and last you a lifetime.
- John H. Halpern, M.D: "Overall - a VERY impressive first blade and it IS beautiful and definitely quite sharply functional!"
- JR: "Got mine yesterday, they look great"
We wanted to have Kiritsuke & Nakiri damascus knives, that normally only profesional chefs have access to, for our personal use in our home kitchens. This started the yourney that in the end lead to our new Perseus knife series.
The Kiritsuke is a very uinque japanes blade design, it combines the characteristics of a traditional Yanagiba blade, which is the traditional form of a sashimi knife that is used for cutting and preparing fish, and a Usuba blade, which is known to be the thinnest of the traditonal japanese blades.
The Nakairi blade is also a traditional japanese blade design and is ideal for cutting vegetables. Through its height the tip of the Nakiri is very robust, which makes it sturdy enough to cut through any type of vegetable.
We combine these beautiful blades with handles made of Pakka wood, which is a very durable wood which also gives these knives a very premium look and feel.
Our knives feature a full-tang blade, which means that the steel of the blade goes from tip to heal of the knife, which gives the knife a additional stability and robustness.
The knives are hand-forged, hand-assembled and hand-sharpened. Therfore you will be getting a real pice of craftsmanship.
Damascus steel has a very profound history of accompanying mankind for its tough composition & beautiful patterns, each damascus knife has its own history & the steel itself is very robust and adaptive.
This series will be available in the Fire damascus pattern ( as above ). The combination of Nakiri & the Kiritsuke knife blades are one of a kind and all the well known Gourmet chefs love to cook with this combination.

The point of balance is one of the most important characteristics of a knife besides the knives overall weight, sharpness and durability.
A properly balanced knife aids in your cuttings and does not put additional strain on your hands and joints.
As you can see above both of our knives are balanced right at the heal of the blade, which is a ideal spot for smooth cuttings.

Risks and challenges
- The R & D is done.
- The prototypes have been produced.
- A small batch of production run has already been done & tested
- A small batch run for productions will be opted for mass productions.
Creditable manufacturers are in harness and ready to begin. All of the knives video & photos you see in this Kickstarter project were produced by our partner for the prototype purposes. However, unseen natural causes or factors which can delays may happen but in such case the delay would be only of couple of weeks rather than months as the Prototypes have be produced and tested.
We know how important transparency is and we commit to always keeping you in the loop about the status of our campaign..
For the small batch series, we have enough stacked layers of steel under way, and will be forging them asap once we get your Support, moreover our Batch Perks will make this unique hand made forging easier for high quality products.
We and our partners are committed to deliver Perseus to your doorstep according to the specified timeline above, but as for any first mass produced product, there can be small hick-ups and delays.
