The ONDA Cycle: Get ONDA One!
we started with the goal of designing the perfect vehicle 3 years
ago, we didn't want to improve upon bikes or skateboards, we wanted
to create something totally unique and different. So we started with
a blank canvas and decided that there were only a few key components
needed to make a vehicle: a seat, pedals, handlebars, and wheels.
With these components in mind and a minimalist design approach, we spent countless hours developing and testing our vehicle. And now it's ready. Introducing the ONDA Cycle.
How it Works
The front wheel can be steered like a regular bike. The rear handle controls the back swivel wheels, allowing for precise steering, spins, and drifting. There is also a wheel lock feature which allows you to lock the rear wheels in a forward facing position so you don't have to worry about spinning out at high speeds.
What you Get
Each hand-crafted ONDA comes with:
- Machined, anodized aluminum steering handle for precise rear-wheel control
- 16 inch aluminum rim and heavy-tread, rubber tire
- Wheel locking handle. Keeps the back wheels facing forward so you don't have to worry about spinning out.
- Leatherette seat for style and comfort
- Motorcycle inspired forks for strength
- Steel tubing for rugged durability
- Coaster brake that is activated by pedaling backwards (no hand brake wires getting in the way!)
- 3:1 gearing ratio for speed
- Freewheel hub for comfortable coasting

Your very own ONDA hot off the assembly line. Choose from four colors: Midnight Black, Arctic White, Scarlet Red, and Slate Blue. The black leatherette seat, accent stitching, and an anodized aluminum handle will turn heads wherever you go. Made of sturdy steel tubing and powder coated for durability.
How tall do you have to be? The ONDA is fully adjustable and can accommodate heights from approximately 4'6" to 6'5".
What's the weight limit? We recommend a maximum rider weight of
180 pounds. We have had riders who weighed over 220 pounds, but it is
important to note that that weight limit is based on a conservative
riding style. Extreme moves, such as riding off curbs, are not
recommended and can cause damage to the frame and wheels. The bottom
line is if you treat the ONDA nicely, it will last for a long time.
How fast does it go? You can cruise comfortably at 15 mph with relaxed pedaling and little effort. But if you have to win a race or something, the ONDA can reach a top speed of 21 mph.
Is it safe? Despite its reckless appearance, it's safer than a bike for a couple of reasons.
- Three wheels are much more stable than two making it much harder to fall.
- If you do actually fall, you're only sitting 5 inches off the ground so the impacts are very small.
However, it is still important to practice in a controlled environment and gain confidence before riding in crowded areas.
Shipping is included to the continental United States. International backers: please see shipping quotes in the FAQ section at the bottom of the page. If you live in Southern California, be sure to check out the pick-up option and avoid shipping altogether.
Plan to Get it Done
We've gone through numerous prototypes, finalized the design, located the necessary components, and have secured the services of a local production facility.
With your support, we can make the jump from prototype to product and start the initial production run. Your funds will go directly towards purchasing the components, developing the necessary tooling, and the assembly of each cycle.
It is our dream to get the ONDA Cycle into as many hands as possible so that everyone can enjoy what we feel is a truly unique and, more importantly, FUN vehicle. Thanks for checking out our Kickstarter!
Oh, and one last thing: Get ONDA One!!!
Risks and challenges
As with developing and producing any new product, there are a few risks and challenges involved with our Kickstarter. For example, there are a few minor design problems such as the seat adjustment that must be dealt with and packaging logistics that must be straightened out. But overall, there should be no major setbacks. We have very capable engineers at the production facility and have thoroughly evaluated all aspects of production.
