About this project
To create a one of a kind, multi purpose venue, that blends local vendors, artists and entertainers to generate amazing, and dare say magical, experiences for children and adults alike. Built to represent something out of a storybook, we want our funding to go towards creating a space that could become not only an art piece for the city of Atlanta, but be utilized for children's parties, summer camps, character events, fundraisers, photoshoots, etc. A co-op that brings local vendors, artists and companies together to create unforgettable moments for families and truly make people's dreams a reality.
It seems like a bizarre career path, but we are both in the character business, spending our weekends with children of all ages and all walks of life. Running a successful company in the Atlanta area for the past few years, we've expanded from children's parties, to Braves games, to professional cabarets, and have worked with every kind of client you can imagine ranging from the richest families to the poorest, from moms who are deaf and children with incurable diseases, we've seen it all.
And absolutely love every second of it.
It's a blessing to be able to bring joy to so many lives if even for just an hour and we've often talked about the potential to bring all of this work one step further. Instead of venturing into people's homes and trying to bring a touch of magic, we thought "Why not just BUILD a fairytale space for others to come experience?" We can make these experiences so much more amazing in a space that is permanent and can be designed around everyone's favorite stories and heroes.
For over two years, we've been making magic in the Atlanta area. And now.. we are ready to make a home.
THE REASON: WHY US?
We basically are professionals at making people's dreams come true, and have a good sense of what it takes to run a successful operation. We may dress like princesses but we understand how to be business women.
We are realistic in this endeavor and know the overhead and cost of constant supplies and employees to make this place so grand would be too much. That's why instead we thought to make it a co op, where we can create the venue and hire local vendors ( bakeries, artists and entertainers etc) at a discounted rate to cross promote and create a successful product for clients.
We are passionate about what we do, but also understand legality having worked in this industry. We hire only professional performers who fit a long list of requirements and skill-sets to ensure the safest, enjoyable, most magic experience possible.
It is important to note that first and foremost we are not affiliated with any theme parks, publishing companies, studios, production companies, etc. Any resemblance to copyrighted characters is purely incidental and our characters are from a fables and fairytales that are of public domain. No copyright mascots will be featured at our venue ( ex. Mickey Mouse or Olaf ) and if a parent insist a party be themed towards a copyright character, we will take the correct steps to legally purchase products from stores that are directly connected to the characters creator so the creator receives the financial benefits ( example: buying Minion themed plates and cups from Party City. ) This venue is not to represent any brand or company but to be a subjective compilation of all fairytales and hero-tales, and become whatever it is the client, event, or artists, WANTS it to be.
This is something we have thoroughly brainstormed the ins and outs of, and through our passion we think we can create something wonderful. The amount of people that appreciate fantasy settings like this has also tripled in the last decade with the allure of products on the internet, conventions like Dragon con (held here in Atlanta bringing in over 55,000 people) and the fact that being a nerd is now cool. There is truly a market for this and we are familiar with navigating it.
HOW IT WORKS
It will work differently depending on events. But in the case of birthday celebrations this space would work like an a la cart menu at a restaurant, but for parties. The parent can choose a theme they think their child would enjoy, with the room rental, decorations and dress up chest all included at a flat fee. They can do whatever they want with the room from there, but if they'd like us to provide more, the al a cart menu expands to accommodate multiple theme related games, entertainment, arts and crafts, gourmet cupcakes and so much more. Then we reach out to our vendors to make it all come to life!
PARENT: "I LOVE the look of the wonderland tea party! I'd like to book that theme for my daughters birthday for two hours."
US: "Wonderful! Your booking also includes a trunk of wonderland themed dress up clothes, music, decor and a host or hostess on staff. Is there anything else you would like to include in your booking?"
PARENT: "Well I think it would be nice to have Alice and the Cheshire cat there but perhaps I can also book some fairies? My daughter loves fairies!"
US: "Absolutely! We have some of the best trained actors around, that are sure your daughter and her friends have a FAIRY magical time!"
PARENT: "You know I think I'd also like to include an arts and craft project. I see you have a bunch that are wonderland themed, and some that are fairy themed. I really like the teacup decorating and painting a fairy house. I'd like to include both of those please."
As you can see the place can become whatever the client wants it to be, for both girls and boys ( there will be themes like superheros and pirates ).
Aside from clients parties we would host our own events, character meet and greets and fundraisers. Events would include things like:
Story time in the library with the Beauty princess, every Thursday night from 6p-7:30, milk and cookies provided!
Super hero day! Come dressed as your favorite super hero and meet some of ours!
Christmas with Santa and the Ice Queen! Enjoy hot chocolate and decorate holiday cookies with your favorite winter friends.
Just to name a few. Holidays and summers are prime times to have special moments at The Enchanted Cottage.
The wonderful thing about this venue is that it is a co-op, and could benefit multiple companies around the city.
It would be impossible for us to overturn hundreds of gourmet cupcakes, have makeup artists and magicians on staff, create flower crowns and fairy wings by the dozens, or only book our own character agency to cover every event. Instead we want to focus on making the venue a one of a kind space, that works with hundreds of local companies and artists to provide unique and worthy experiences to customers. That's why I believe something like this doesn't exist already, because it would be too much to try and handle everything alone.
But we know we aren't cupcake masters, magicians or fairy wing experts. By working with local vendors to provide their expert services at a discounted rate, we can all work together to cross promote multiple companies and artists in the area. So that we can offer cupcakes that look and taste amazing, sell superhero capes and fairy wings and other art pieces within the venue, and offer the best entertainment in town. If our characters are all booked there is no reason we won't call in other local character companies. It's all about using this venue to create a kid friendly community.
On top of that it will help the working parents execute the kind of experience they sometimes don't have the time or money to afford. Theme parks are expensive, and breakfast with some character favorites should be something for everyone to experience at least once. It will also be utilized as a venue for fundraisers, and could especially help with Atlanta's prestigious children hospital down the street, and offer meet and greet events for underprivileged families.

Terilyn (Emma, age 4)
"The girls loved singing with the Ice Queen and Ice Princess. She took requests and they loved it. The Ice Princess did a great job of engaging the girls and handling some 4 year old behavior. Love the pictures from her photographer, so I didn't have to manage that part of the party."
Mick (Sammi, age 5)
"Rapunzel was AMAZING! She captivated the attention of our party guests from the moment she walked in the door. What a princess! And our adult guests were just as stunned to find that she sang beautifully. Tiana was a pleasure and graciously posed for photo after photo. We highly recommend Ever After Entertainment! Oh, and we loved that the package included a photographer who took great pictures and got them to us right away."
Angela (Nyla, age 5)

Risks and challenges
Finding the right space for this venue will definitively be a challenge. We're very detail oriented, and want every moment of this experience to feel magical for each guest. That means it can't be a storefront in the middle of the city. Everything needs to be ornate, and not seem cheap, fake, or sterile, the way a party room in chuck-e-cheese may feel. Plus it needs to be affordable.
The hope is to find a quaint cottage, with the beginnings of overgrown foliage, and we expect it will need renovations. Those renovations will surely be the most timely and costly part of this project. Creating a believable magical world like this one will take a lot of work and that means potential set backs with contractors, permits, zoning laws, etc.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
