The story behind Coats of Paint
It's been a fantastic journey of painting on human canvases since the turn of the century. I have selected this collection of images from the hundreds of projects that I have completed over the years. Many were completed as live performance art at galleries while others were projects completed while teaching the art of body painting around the world.
The models included in Coats of Paint
I've had the opportunity to work with some really incredible models and I truly recognize and appreciate their contribution to the final images. It's been a pleasure getting to know them. The models in this book are also doctors and lawyers, Playmates and entertainers, students and teachers, cosplayers and gymnasts, and so many other fascinating alter egos. I am thankful to each and every one of them for contributing their time and talent and of course their beauty. Here is a listing of the models from Coats of Paint:

Contributing photographers in Coats of Paint
There is no doubt that the contribution of creative photography can elevate the impact of a bodypainted model. In addition to being a book of body painting art, Coats of Paint is also a portfolio of glamorous photography. I enjoy the artistic contribution of photography and I've spent a lot of time learning the tools of the trade and principles of creating alluring images. I was the photographer for a majority of these images, but I would like to credit the other contributing photographers whose images moved me and became some of my favorite selections for this book. Thank you to Don Crossland (3 image credits), Daveed Benito, Brad Garner, Ed Clapper, Steve Gladyz, Images by O'D, Ratchford, and Christos Sewell.

The Comic Book Edition
Don't let the name full you. This is a professionally printed portfolio book that comes in a compact size, but it still features all of the wonderful images in the Soft Cover edition.
The Soft Cover Book
The Soft Cover Edition of Coats of Paint The Soft Cover Edition of Coats of Paint This is the edition that was inspired by the art books that inspired me as a young artist. I modeled the aspect ratios and the general format after the portfolio books of Boris and Frazetta. My hope is that my art will inspire someone out there too.
The Krystle Edition
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Miss Krystle on her music video for the song "I Don't Cry". She was bodypainted in the video and photographer Cristos Sewell captured some beautiful images of her on set. One of his images is featured in the book and another image is included in the CD insert for Miss Krystle's "Run" CD that includes the song "I Don't Cry". There is a very limited number of this tier available.

Risks and challenges
The graphic design and layout of the project is complete. We have secured printers for this project and have done a test run of 25 copies of each book to iron out any of the details of procurement. Everything has worked smoothly and although there can always be unforeseen circumstances, we believe that we have a well oiled machine that will be able to deliver your rewards in a timely manner. I can assure you that I will provide timely updates and prompt resolution if unforeseen delays/issues occur.
We are standing by and ready to print once the Kickstarter campaign ends. Once we receive the raised funds, we will be placing orders to complete printing and preparing to ship them as soon as possible. My intent is to make sure everyone has their rewards by April 4th, my 50th birthday, at the latest, but hope to beat that date by several weeks if possible.
We will be somewhat dependent on you to provide all of the necessary address and specific requests and also on Kickstarter to process the funding. We do not foresee any delays due to this.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
