LEGENDARY is a tribute to a feral court that once roamed the Eastern European wilderness before the apocalypse. The pips are delicately detailed and placed in an orderly and symmetric manor of high contrast to the extremity of the mammal court, featuring the lynx, boar, wolf and bear, all drawn by hand. The traditional red color of the hearts and diamonds suits are represented with an orange ink which really makes this deck as bold as it is beastly.
AMBASSADOR is an extremely limited, numbered, and kickstarter exclusive, noble deck of high contrast black and white design. An opulent orange ink is used for the hearts and diamonds suits and represent the one and only actual color in this deck. Sharp and highly detailed crowns present the court cards with the suit diagrams implemented in the design. This deck is only made in 120 copies and has the owners name on the front of the tuck box.
ORNAMENT is an organic and highly decorative deck. Each face card features an artistic and rich pip ornamentation that often expands over the edges of the card itself. This deck cunningly introduces a third and dusty blue tone to the traditional pair of red and black. A colorful composition of the dynamic symbols form a very original deck of cards. The font of the card values compliment the design originality of the face cards well.
SPECTACLE takes you on a journey through the barren wastelands of the aftermath. It features dozens of unique post-apocalyptic sceneries in an extraordinary environment with captivating weather settings. The partially faded sceneries still have rich color in them, forming a deck that really stand out from any common design. Each of the 52 face cards hold a unique spectacle on its own. Several hours of designing went into the artwork of each scene through photography, manipulation and visual editing.
Misery Development Ltd. (MDT) live and breathe within the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and post-apocalyptic community. There is so much to achieve within here and we keep finding ourselves on unspoiled territory. We came up with a series of poker playing card decks, called Decks of The Aftermath, in an effort to capture the atmospheric essence of the post-apocalyptic theme. These decks have a worn and weathered design that makes them look like they withstood a moderate apocalypse, and they are even accompanied by an exclusive soundtrack!
Each deck is a factory sealed deck of 54 poker sized (63mm x 88mm, 2,5" x 3,5") 300gsm premium cards with smooth finish, jokers included.
The music is composed by David Levy in a semi-acoustic layout. The track featured in the Kickstarter pitch video is a good example of the tone and sound that we strife for overall. However, this track has an addd promotional pace and power that we think fit the uplifting presentation of a good Kickstarter pitch.
The soundtrack is inspired by post-apocalyptic fiction and originate from notions of isolation, philosophy, existentialism, and unity of humanity when times are rough, and will be made up of 5 tracks of various length (4-6 minutes each). Each track will expand and grow from a basic instrumental setup of guitar, violin or piano.
The tone and pace will fit a campfire or poker table as calm background ambiance, but will also carry great weight in emotional depths, worthy of a solo digestion in quality headphones.

Risks and challenges
We've spent several months researching, designing and testing these decks. However, obstacles can arise unexpectedly. Potential set-backs include production delays, shipping and sourcing issues. That being said, we feel extremely confident in our tested suppliers and the conservative timeline we've chosen. As experienced creative designers, we've brought many complex products to our audience on time and with great reviews.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
