Hope for Steve has received distribution!

I am extremely pleased to announce that Virgil Films and Entertainment has licensed the rights to distribute the documentary Hope For Steve!

Virgil is the distributor behind Supersize Me, Forks Over Knives, Out of the Clear Blue Sky and the upcoming film, I Am Chris Farley.

Hope For Steve will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Barnes and Noble and several other VOD and retail outlets in May. There is also a great opportunity that the film will be on Netflix in the second half of 2016.

We've worked very hard the last three years to get this amazing story out to the masses, but there's no way we do that without all of you, our Kickstarter supporters. And this isn't the generic "thank you note" speak. Without your donations, there really would not be a film. I hope you all take a minute to think about how amazing that is.

When Hope and Steve agreed to share their story back in 2012, their goals were to spread SIGNIFICANT awareness about ALS, raise money for research, and to inspire those blessed with health to vehemently live life to the fullest. Because of your donations, they have been able to do that. And from the production side, as first time (feature) filmmakers, your donations granted us the wonderful responsibility of immortalizing this once in a lifetime story into a film. For that, we will always be forever grateful.

We will be putting on big screening party in Atlanta once the release date is solidified. More details to come later. Obviously, we hope you all can make it.

On behalf of Hope and Steve and the team,

Thank you,

Matt Moore

Co-Director, Producer, and Editor.

For our international supporters...

Hey everyone! We are full swing into shipping out your DVDs. We trust that most of you have received yours. If you still have not, we likely do not have your address. For those whose information we still need, you will be receiving an email from us shortly. For our international supporters, we are gathering quotes on what it will cost to ship to outside of the U.S. We promised to ship the rewards to those in the U.S. only, however we want everyone to get theirs! If you are an international supporter, please know yours has not shipped yet and we will make a final decision on international shipping once we've gathered all quotes. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact Matt or myself. or Thanks and all the best to you! -Sarah and Matt

Hi Supporters!

We received our first shipment of DVDs this morning and we are SO EXCITED to get yours into your hands! We are shipping out a large batch today and we'd love to include yours!

The gift for a donation of $30 or more is a copy of the DVD.  If you are in this bracket, please send us your current shipping address.  With the lapse in time from last year until now, we want to make sure our records are correct and that the DVD ends up at its rightful home.  :)  We appreciate everyone's support and cannot thank you enough for being part of this project!

**Please note: If you live outside of the United States, please make sure to indicate which country to send to.**

On a side note, I've gone through hundreds of names in the last few days and I cannot tell you how much gratitude I feel when I read each of your names. We are SUPER proud and we COULD NOT have done this without you and your support!!! Thank you!!

We are excited for your feedback!

Hope for Steve Update 4

Hello Everyone,

This is Matt Moore, the co-director and editor of the film. I would like to apologize to all our Kickstarter donors and presale orders for the numerous delays in getting the film into your hands and onto your screens. As most of you know, the documentary tells the beautiful, heart-wrenching, at times hilarious, and (in my opinion) triumphant story of Hope and Steve Dezember. Since the premiere in June we have tried to elevate the technical quality of the film so that it can meet the requirements of a distribution company or network. This has meant several rounds of post edits, all of which have taken longer than anticipated and have required specialized experts in sound and coloring. Mass production on the film will finally begin tomorrow. That means we will start shipping DVDs in roughly eight to ten days.

Sarah and I felt it was extremely important to get our modestly budgeted film to the highest quality possible. We hope that those of you who have not seen the film will consider it worth the wait.

Matt Moore

Hey all we are quickly approaching the premiere!  We are all very excited.  In interest of assuring we have the proper space for everyone (we love the idea of a packed house) we wanted to remind everyone to RSVP.  If you are receiving tickets from us per a donation on kickstarter & you plan to attend please let us know by Friday of this week (May 9th) so we can add you to the list.  You can message us on here, our Facebook page, or email hope:  (note: if you have already RSVP'd you don't need to again)

Also, if you need to buy tickets we encourage everyone to do so quickly before we sale out :)  Here is the link for the ticket sales :

DVD's will be made shortly after the premiere and we will update everyone when they are ready and contact you for correct mailing address.

Steve & I (Hope) greatly appreciate all the support on this journey & we can't wait for everyone to be able to see the film!  We are very proud of the results and hope to touch people's lives and bring lots of awareness for ALS.

Lots of love-Hope :)
