Custom Cards, Alternate arts and GENCON!

Good evening, aspiring daimyo of Yamashiro!

Today we have a big and colorful update, so get ready and pumped!

Custom Cards

In the previous updates, we had some sneak peeks of your custom cards, and now we proudly announce that.. they're finally over! We're so happy to have so many customs cards that it's like we built the game together! Take a look at the final result!

Honestly, we can't pick our favourite, because they all look so awesome! They are pretty strong too, so don't underestimate them!

Choose the Art

If you follow us on Facebook, you're already aware of it: we need your opinion on another piece of card art, the Ise Rosary! In this space who hasn't Facebook may vote as well!

The feel of the two illustrations are quite different because Enrica wanted to show the two sides hiding inside Tomoe, but now she can't make up her mind, and she's asking for your help on this!

Don't worry, the other art won't be discarded but will be added to the artbook!

Alternate Art and Bonus Poll Card!

During the campaign, we hosted a couple of polls regarding some alternate art. The chosen ones were Komatsu and Oyasu, and although we showed you the line art for Komatsu, Oyasu was missing. We didn't forget about her (and we also know that a lot of people here are her fans!), and... here we go!

Since you liked Aiko's alternative art, we decided to use that style again and we gave a modern vibe to our favourite Yuki Onna! Are you pleased with the outcome?

Plus, remember the "ninja or samurai" poll we launched since the first day of the campaign? Ninja won the competition (with great joy from Enrica) and the final card is about to be realized! Stay tuned, you'll see it in the next update!

Story Insight

And finally, we're ready to tell you another piece of the story of this world. You know that your final goal is finding treasures in the Daimyo's Palace before the last petal falls, but did you know that every treasure has a story to be told?

The Merciless Gauntlet of the Daimyo is the one that has a darker shade, because it may be the key to an important event.

This gauntlet has been a huge pride for the Daimyo, as it was the memento of his victorious military action against an organized group of fanatics that used to believe they could find the origin of life, hidden in the Invisible World of the gods.

The Daimyo defeated them and took this gauntlet as a warning to anyone who wanted to emulate them.

Katsumi, more than once, showed a strange interest in this object, even though she couldn't explain why she longed so much for it. She eventually got her hands on it, despite the ban of the Daimyo himself... and she was found with that gauntlet on the day that the two twins lost their eyes.

GenCon Demos

Both of us wanted to thank those who stopped by at Gen Con just to play with Daimyo's Fall! We are so flattered because we received a lot of positive feedback (actually... only positive feedback!) and some heart warming messages regarding the game and the art!

And, last but not least, We'd like to thank our friend Allan for hosting the demo, you're the best!

"It was probably the best game I demo'ed at GenCon. Fun, rich strategy, accelerates faster than any other deckbuilder I've played, and there were times I stopped the game just to check out the artwork."

That's all for now! We look forward for the next update, as we'll announce a little surprise... you'll like it! Until next time,

Love and sushi cakes (those really exist, I ate them! Delicious!)

Everyone, thank you so much for your comments and opinions!

About the Ise rosary, I'll go through the first one, since it looks the most favourite among you all!
I can't wait to show you the last ninja bonus card, I'm working on it in these days (I've already the lineart, now I just need to color it, but... I' not going to show it until it's finished! ;) )

And I'm so glad that the background story is so appreciated, it makes me want to create and tell more!

      I second Erica's opinion.

Again thanks for all of this background story - i really enjoy always reading these entries :-)

      About the art:
I wont lie, the original Oyasu art is one of my favorites, but i like the alternative art - this art style is really working great :-)

Now to the two Ise Rosary art works: I am honest this is the first time i cant tell what i feel about them, they dont look bad but they arent my favorites - please dont kill me, but its nearly impossible to get a 100% success ;-)
But to choose, i would go with the first/left one.

      And last the custom cards:
Fantastic work on them, they all look great - but yes i have my favorite - hope to see it in a bigger version somewhere in the future and be able to share it with my viewers :-)

I prefer the first Ise Rosary (on the left) the second one makes me sad looking at it because she looks so upset.
