About this project
You know how we all have that inner jerk that just wants to say things when it’s inappropriate or not socially acceptable? Most of us, can control that jerk, but this new TV show comedy is about a man who has the inability to control himself when it comes to being a truly intolerable, selfish human being. This pilot will begin the tales of Marty Wolfe, a jerk who is oblivious to being a jerk, as well as how his actions and selfishness causes repercussions in his life. The beginning of this tale sees Marty Wolfe having a fun night on the town by himself in situations that would be great ideal dates with a significant other, while his girlfriend of two years sits at home waiting for her boyfriend to join her for their second anniversary dinner. When he comes home with stories and memorabilia of a fantastic evening she dumps Marty and leaves him to rediscover who he is in this journey to get the love of his life back. While still learning to correct the error of his ways, he is always comically taking 2 steps back with every step forward.
We wrote this script with real life situations we had encountered in the past, while embellishing some of the more out of control elements. We really wanted to capture the thoughts of our mind that may be totally inappropriate in a situation and see how a character that does not have the mindful limitation of a conscience would interact. We really believe that the situations and rapport between the characters evolve into hilarious circumstances and dialogue. This isn’t to say that the character never grows, as he slowly but surely does begin to show changes of a better person, as he embarks on a journey of self discovery.
We are developing this TV show pilot because we are a funny, creative crew of people who want to do something with this, rather than stand by and wonder if the show could make it. We are all adamantly behind this project, and every current cast and crew member of this production feel as if this comedy TV show will be a big hit. This show will not run by the standard situation comedy you see on network television today. Contrarily, we will not be having the typical laugh track and bright colors you may see on a show like F.R.I.E.N.D.S. We are opting for a more real and grittier feel to the production side of things, while still upholding the quick witted comical dialogue and preserving slapstick state of affairs.
Currently we are in pre-production phase of the pilot, going forward as if the funding will be coming through this outlet on Kickstarter. We are still casting a Marty Wolfe for the show as we want to get the exact right person for the part, so keep in mind the person in the video is actually co-creator Josh Track, playing the character for the KickStarter video only. We have however hired some cast and crew and are currently in discussions with locations and equipment deals. For the time being, all of our crew is working on a donated time basis, with faith that the campaign for this production will be successful. As we accomplish goals set forth, we will however keep updating this page while the campaign is active as well as after the campaign has been successfully funded. While we have listed a goal amount of $8,000, our hope and prayers are for at least a goal of $10,000. This is to ensure the ability to pay our crew professionally the amount of money we would like to pay them. We feel that if need be we can make the production on $8,000, but would have to make some budget cuts that would hinder the success of the pilot.
We have a plan in place to have all of our pre-production needs met by the end of this Kickstarter campaign, so we can move into filming by late August. This gives us plenty of time to fill the empty positions we still need to fill, as well as make the appropriate arrangements for the locations, equipment, rehearsals, filming schedule, storyboarding, and anything else we need to accomplish. As we accomplish these goals, we will post updates to this campaign, to prove we mean business and we are professional. We will do a great job with this TV show pilot, from a production, creative and comedy standpoint.

Risks and challenges
There are many different set backs that can occur on a production, such as audio turning out muffled or distorted, locations we have set not following through with the agreement, production time going a little longer than expected having to add an extra shoot day onto the production. Of course, if we have audio issues, I have already hired on and signed 2 of the best audio professionals I have worked with in the past. One for location sound and one for audio post production. I have seen these guys work magic in the past, and I'm sure we would be in the studio doing ADR (Audio Digital Replacement) to fix any issues in that regard. I have hired on a fantastic production manager who will be attempting to set up back up locations just in case a location does not do as agreed, and allow us to film the production as it is needed to be filmed. Also we will have contractual agreements with location owners and operators, this should stop this from happening. As for production time going longer than expected, this is one of the reasons we are asking for the goal we are asking. We would really like to pay our cast and crew the extra day to shoot. Although in case the extra goal is not met, the cast and crew have all agreed to taking one for the team to finish the production.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
