About this project
Disclaimer: YOUR HELP WILL GET THE GOODNESS TRUCK ON THE STREETS.
Grace's Goodness is a small business that began in late 2010 with one goal: to make good food accessible to more Atlantans.
GG utilizes local, seasonal, high quality ingredients to make regional treats, soups, salads and hummus. This Goodness is packaged in Mason jars that customers can reuse or bring back to make another purchase at a discount.
Currently, Grace's Goodness can be found at 4 weekly Atlanta farmers markets and some Atlanta Street Food Coalition events. GG can also be found catering, or on your doorstep: some families make orders online that are delivered directly to their home; some people request Goodness at their wedding, shower, or party.
The long-term plan is two-fold:
1. to revive a 1988 box truck and run it on biodiesel in order to bring Goodness to schools, businesses, and more neighborhoods in the Atlanta area.
The truck will offer a variety of foods suitable for on-the-go students, professionals, and families, and will be parked in different accessible locations around Atlanta during the week.
2. to offer the Atlanta community a reliable, rewarding alternative to grabbing food on the go. GG will do this by providing weekly supplies of Goodness for pick up, similar to a CSA box. These will include items such as seasonal soups, seasonal salads, organic, handmade hummus, handmade nut butter, and pesto.
The baskets will be offered on a weekly and monthly basis, or you can order them as-needed. Going out of town? GG can work with you around your schedule.
To do these things, GG must have: greater insurance, more permits, more licensing, more efficient kitchen equipment (most importantly, an industrial food processor for nut butters and the ever popular hummuses), increased marketing, and a handful of new truck parts (spark plugs, tires, batteries, belts).
In order to have these things and bring wholesome, local food to more people in and around Atlanta, GG must reach its goal. Your money will get the Goodness mobile on the streets!
Thank you very much for your interest in spreading Goodness around Atlanta!
