V-DAY Studio City is a chapter of the International V-DAY Organization, a global movement aiming to end violence against women and girls through public performance, education, networking and fundraising. The Vagina Monologues has become one of the staples of this organization’s dedication to promoting awareness. The play is based on our founder Eve Ensler’s interviews with over 200 women and highlights the hilarious, profound and deeply personal stories that challenge every audience member, regardless of gender, about the ideas of what it means to be a fully realized human being.
The journey started back in 2007 when V-DAY Studio City’s founder, Maxie Solters, took on the role of the V-DAY coordinator on the USC campus. After graduation commenced, Maxie started the V-DAY Studio City chapter, which has given the organization the opportunity to share its mission.
V-DAY Studio City's annual production of The Vagina Monologues is set to run April 19-21, 2013. The organization has encountered some obstacles with increasing operating expenses from both our theatre and vendors. We are seeking your support to continue our efforts of promoting awareness in our community.
Help us make V-DAY Studio City's production of The Vagina Monologues a reality!

Risks and challenges
We at V-Day Studio City are not autonomous. We are dependent on different vendors, including our theatre and merchandise vendors, who are all trying to make a living. This means that their costs are on the rise, and the more our operating costs go up, the less likely we will be able to put the show up. We want to put on the best show and the most memorable experience possible to continue to encourage positive change in our community (and elsewhere). The unfortunate truth of the matter is that these days, doing so takes almost the exact amount of money that we bring in. We are asking for your support so that V-Day Studio City can continue to thrive for years to come, making a valuable contribution to end violence.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
