About this project
We are a trio of young, up and coming creators looking to make a name for ourselves in the comic industry that we so love. We come from all around the world, meeting and becoming friends through the power of the internet. Making comic's is each of our passions, and we plan to make many more of them together.
Curtis - The creator, writer and letterer, from California, United States. Writing is his passion. At age 24 he's looking to make the transition in becoming a full time writer and willing to do whatever it takes.
Mauro Mandalari - The line artist, from Palermo, Italy. He's 27 and already has put out some amazing work. He's only getting better with time and The Wild Cosmos really showcases his skills.
Harrison Yinfaowei - The colorist, from Lagos, Nigeria. He's 24 and loves all things to do with coloring. From traditional painting, coloring comics, or digital painting, he truly has an eye for color and you can see that in The Wild Cosmos' beautifully colored pages.
This is our second Kickstarter together (the first being successfully funded and fulfilled) and it's the next step in our careers. We've been hard at work on this book, each improving our skills, and we can't wait to show you all!
The Wild Cosmos is an emotional, character driven, sci-fi adventure. Set in a 'wild-west like' version of space, spanning from derelict space stations to lush alien rain forests.
You follow Captain Cooper as he see's if he has what it takes to lead his crew of 5 and keep them safe. When your whole crew trusts you to lead them at the edge of the galaxy, every decision carries weight.
We experimented with the format of The Wild Cosmos, adding some extra spreads and a mix of prose. We think it turned out awesome!
-Get an 11x17 High quality print of this cover at the $40 tier and all tiers above $40 will automatically include this print!!!
Our 11x15 mini-issue print from our first Kickstarter is available for an Add On! Just add $10 on your onto your pledge right now. At the end of the Kickstarter, a survey will go out to confirm the add on.
The print is double gloss and on high quality paper. It looks great framed!
The Wild Cosmos: Act I will be 24 full color pages in a softcover book. 1000 copies will have a signed and numbered bookplate. The interior pages will be printed on thick, high quality paper. The book will be sized at 8x12 to truly show off it's beautiful art.
We only have 10 pages of THE WILD COSMOS: ACT I to finish, then it's off to the printer. The printing process will take about 3 months for the proofs, printing and shipping. We are getting the printing done in China, so we have to factor in shipping time from there.
We are estimating being able to ship the books in December, to account for enough time to finish the art and print the book. Just to be safe.
We promise to keep you in the loop with updates on the progress and printing of the book each and every month, so there won't be any surprises.
Finishing the rest of the art = $2,000
Printing = $2,000
Shipping = $500
Fee's and taxes = $500
FUNDING GOAL = $5,000
All single book United States orders will have free shipping.
International orders will be charged $22 for shipping 1 book. Canada and Mexico will be charged $14 for 1 book.
Sorry, there's not much we can do to lower the shipping costs, since all of the shipping will be done from the United States. We've seen a few Kickstarter's have a misstep when it comes to shipping. So we are adding the shipping cost to ensure the post Kickstarter goes smoothly and we'll get the books shipped out quickly.
Thank you for your support in making The Wild Cosmos possible and the best book it can be!
Remember that Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing system. If we can't raise the full amount in the time given then we won't get anything.
We can't express how much this truly means to us, helping us follow our passions and a career in this industry.

Risks and challenges
This will be my 2nd Kickstarter campaign and I have successfully delivered all the rewards in my last campaign. I am even more prepared and confident that it will be a super smooth campaign.
We have more than half of the books art complete. Then it's off to the printer. I've given us a few extra months of buffer time just in case of anything.
Thanks for trusting us. :)Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
