With an MSRP of $599 (approx. £359) – or less if you choose to back the project on Kickstarter – Candy makes food 3D printing truly accessible to a wide range of consumers, as well as food industry professionals.
In addition, Candy is SD card compatible. The included SD card comes preloaded with many preset designs, making it easily usable right out of the box. Candy comes with dispensers that can be filled up with whatever semi-solid you wish with to use in order to create amazing designs. We have introduced Candy with heated extruder so the dispenser will always be warm to keep the printing material fluid.

With Candy, decorations can be created flawlessly, over and over again, saving on time and effort.
From the outset, Candy was created to be aesthetically appealing. Candy’s sleek, open design allows you to see your food being prepared, as well as allowing easy access for cleaning.

Why we need you
The pre-production prototype of Candy has been designed, and it’s working perfectly.
We now need to be able to ramp up production of Candy to the scale that we require. This is why we are looking to raise $100,000 (approx. £60,000). Pledging would mean being one of the first to make fully affordable food 3D printing become a reality.

Risks and challenges
Although we have made successful prototypes on a small scale, this will be our first time manufacturing Candy on a larger, mass produced scale.
Given the amount of time and effort we have put into securing suppliers and finding the right factories for our product however, we are confident that we can smoothly increase production to the right scale and make truly affordable food 3D printing a reality.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Yes. Candy can print 3D objects like any other 3D printer. We have printed various 3D objects such as figurines, flowers, text, vases and many others. You can view some print examples on the Kickstarter page or check our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVVpuVUY-iKUiyciOxKTPrw .
We looked at the other players in the food 3D printing industry and realized that the main issue they are facing is the utility of their products. Moreover, even if we’re not the first people to think of making a 3D printer for food, but we are the first to make it truly accessible as a consumer product. The concept of 3D printing in general is so new, everyone is still experimenting with the technology and what it means for the future. That’s why going with confectionery design seemed like a logical entry point into food, because of how naturally creative it is.
Candy can print using literally any semi-solid foodstuff: chocolate, peanut butter, icing sugar, any creams, marzipan, ketchup, dough, ice cream or any other paste that you can think of.
Yes, the nozzle heats up the printing material, but please keep in mind that this feature does not come with the discounted Candy.
