The Pancor P03 is a vintage inspired modern-day wristwatch specced to meet every diver’s demands, let alone the needs of those that prefer the safety of their office over the great deep.
This watch was designed with both groups of people in mind, hence the combination of 30ATM (300M/1000ft) water resistance, 120 click unidirectional bezel, workhorse movement and modern colours, a polished/brushed case, clean ceramic bezel inlay and vintage elements like the big lumed markers.
Also notice the ‘hidden’ bezel edge that isn’t visible when viewing the watch from the top, for a cleaner look and the custom crown protruding a tad further form the case, for easy winding and setting time. If this hasn’t convinced you yet, the introduction price surely will!
Pancor will offer one (1) model: a 39mm dive watch available with 4 different dial variations which you can choose from at the end of the campaign.
P03 DIVER SS-G | green dial with vintage "old radium" indexes
P03 DIVER SS-B | blue dial with 3D white indexes
P03 DIVER PVD-B | dark grey PVD case and black dial withvintage "old radium" indexes
P03 DIVER SS | black dial with vintage "old radium" indexes
Unlike many of the ‘affordable watch’ campaigns that you see today, Pancor does not use a generic, off-the-shelf case. Every part has been designed and built to high exacting standards and specifications.
The case is made from high-grade 316L stainless steel and finished with both polished and brushed surfaces, resulting in a solid and substantial timepiece that weighs in at 110 grams (ca. 0.24 lb).
The Pancor P03 Diver is designed to be a full-fledged divewatch. It is rated at 30ATM (300m/1000ft) water resistance. Ithas a screw-down crown and case back, bright C3 or BWG9 Swiss Super-LumiNova®, a 120-click uniderectional bezel and a domed and anti-reflection (AR) coated sapphire crystal. The watch comes with a vintage-style "tropic" rubber strap. Unlike many larger modern dive watches, the P03's case is ‘only’ 39mm wide, 47mm long and 13mm thick, topped witha 40mm wide bezel. These classic proportions suit the average wrist beautifuly and, given the Pancor's understated good looks, allow it to be worn it with a suit and tie, making it the perfect office desk dive watch.

The case is slim designed with relative short lugs. The lugs are slightly curved downwarded for comfortabel wearing. Because of the 39MM case size the watch won’t feel bulky or to large for your wrist. The bezel has a smooth round coin edge and an fully lumed ceramic inlay that will is slightly embossed. The 120 clicks unidirectional bezel is inspired by vintage divers. Overall height of the case is 12,7mm. Setting the time is easy with a screw down crown that measures 7 mm. It's engraved with the Pancor icon logo.
The dots and rounded bars are tall, polished, and full of lume. These slightly overstuffed markers in the watch are finely rendered details. Long pencil hands and a lollipop second hand completes the set. A matt painted dial in modern colors is the real eye catcher of this P03.
All variants use beige C3 SuperLuminova® except the blue dial, which has white BGW9 lume. Everything glows long and strong, including the bezel.
On the backside, the polished lid bears an engraved logo surrounded by nautical elements.
The challenge was finding a movement that was premium, affordable and reliable. If a watch can't keep good time, it doesn't really matter how great looking or high quality the rest of it is.
Inside is a well known Seiko NH38 automatic* movement, a sibling to the ever-popular NH35. The 24-jewel, 21.6l bph automatic shares the same design as the 35, but loses the date function, so there is no phantom stop in the crown and no click of an unseen date change.
It's hand windable which means that if the watch does stop after a period off time, you can start it again by just winding it up. and it has hacking seconds. Easy to set the time because the second hand stops.
*Automatic means that as long as you wear the watch every day or two it should keep itself wound up enough to keep going. It has a powerreserve of 41 hours. That is if you do nothing all day :)
Pancor Watches is the brainchild of Marc Schutten (1988), a Dutch native from the city of Enschede. As is often the case with microbrands, it all started with collecting watches for a hobby. A controller by trade, Marc used Photoshop and a CAD program to his first watch for which he invested his own money to produce a prototype of.
In 2015 he introduced the Pancor P01 on Kickstarter, an aviation inspired watch powered by Seiko’s well-known VK64 Meca-Quartz movement. The campaign was a succes, well exceeding its initial goal. He launched his second succesful campaign in 2017 with the Pancor P02, a versatile, Miyota 9132 powered watch that boasts a date function, a 24-hour sub-dial, as well a s a power reserve meter.
With the P03, Marc has introduced another unique design that will appeal to existing customers as well as people that are perhaps unfamiliar with the brand.
Production of the Pancor P03 will take roughly 5 months, due to Chinese New Year. The Seiko NH38 movements are already purchased and in stock, to prevent any delays. The case and bezel will be produced by one factory, the dial and hands by another. Assembly and quality control is in the hands of Marc’s trusted supplier, with whom he also worked during the previous Kickstarter campaigns.
During the production process, Marc will provide you with regular datailed updates and pictures, like he did during his previous campaigns. He is a staunch believer in openness and understands that these updates are a big part of the Kickstarter experience and getting backers involved in the brand.
Below you can see the production schedule he planned. Marc is doing his best to stick as close as possible to these dates, but there can always be unexpected delays.
In order to bring the Pancor P03 onto the market, he needs to order a 500 watches to keep the price reasonable, and that's where you come in. By becoming a backer of our project, you will help pay for the first production run that includes marketing, materials, labor and related expenses for start-up. In exchange you will receive a beautiful high quality discounted watch.
The Pancor P03 will ship worldwide. When pre-ordering the watch, you'll be asked where in the world you'd like your watch shipped to and the appropriate shipping fee will be added. At the end of the pre-order period you'll asked to give the shipping adress.
The Pancor P03 ships from the Netherlands (within EU) via DHL express courier to anywhere worldwide. If you're outside the EU, you'll need to confirm any import duties you may be required to pay with your local customs office.
Marc needs YOU to bring the Pancor P03 Diver to life!

In exchange you will be among the first to receive the beautiful, high quality Pancor P03 Diver… at a discount!
Marc would like to thank everyone that has taken the time to check out this campaign and those that helped him spread the word. You really made a difference. Thanks for being a part of this project and welcome to the Pancor family!
Risks and challenges
With any project, there are always risks associated with manufacturers not being able to deliver products on time, or design decisions causing the project to be delayed or halted all together. I’ve minimized these risks by funding a prototype production run of our product to ensure that all design elements are finalized and the manufacturers are already manufacturing the watch.
It will take about 5 months for the first batch to be delivered, and of course you will be kept up to date throughout. That's what is kickstarter all about! taking part of the production process.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the project from the start and to all our backers!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
