Books on their way / Presentation at the Kickstarter offices

Posted by Erwin Hobbes (Creator)

Dear scientists, academics and half-cat supporters,

The long wait is coming to an end. Your reprinted copy of the world's foremost publication on under-recognized bipedal cats will soon be in the mail and on its way. The books are currently being shipped from the printer to our Toronto headquarters. They should be arriving here within a couple weeks, and then we'll be shipping them out around the world for your intellectual delight and serious scientific interest.

We are also pleased to announce that the esteemed members of the Half-Cat Field Research Organization were invited to give a talk at the Kickstarter offices in New York. The session, held on Friday, February 21, included an in-depth exploration of the inextricably linked questions: "What is a half-cat?" and "How can half-cats reduce the rate of motorcycle deaths?"

The talk was followed by the airing of a trailer for the Half-Cat Kickstopper video (soon to be released) and a lively Q&A period, during which time all doubt surrounding the half-cat was forever quashed by the overwhelming professionalism and research of the HCFRO.

Any press releases, conversations, rumours or tweets suggesting that our researchers were confused, belligerent and generally unhelpful are to be disregarded as grossly antithetical to the interests of science.

We look forward to your thoughts on this illustrious chapter of half-cat science, and to the Kickstopper video, as the wheels of progress turn ever forward.

When I received your email, I downloaded Martha and the Vandellas to my iPod and am readying myself to head to the street! Your research and invitation to present it at Kickstarter headquarters validates all that field study, data collection and its application to universal knowledge. Your work makes me all the more proud to be a scientist---and a proud buddy to my full-cat. And I love the t-shirt and posters, by the way.

Good to hear! I am eagerly awaiting my copy of the book.
