The Tuxpeedo is the classiest swimwear ever imagined.
I created the Tuxpeedo because I wanted something comfortable and fun to wear when I went to festivals, pool parties, or the beach. I spent hours looking for the perfect festival outfit; something that was flexible and durable for hours of dancing, breathable material for high heat climates, and quick drying in case I wanted to cool off in a pool or take a champagne shower. Nothing on the market had what I was looking for, so I decided to experiment with my own designs.
People not only complimented the Tuxpeedo prototype, but they also wanted to buy one—for their upcoming bachelor party, their crazy friend, or their next Vegas pool party. So I decided to create this Kickstarter to give the people what they clearly want: tuxedos and swimwear combined into one sensual and sophisticated package.
In order to ensure the best quality, the Tuxpeedo is made with:
- 82% nylon
- 18% spandex
- 100% badass
These materials were chosen after rigorous testing four different iterations of the Tuxpeedo. I landed on these materials because Nylon is a lightweight performance material that is very durable and also allows for flexibility. It dries quickly and is breathable. Adding Spandex allows for even more flexibility and dancibility. This specific ratio of materials make it so that you can move, swim, play, and party in comfort.

Ladies love Tuxpeedos too! Just throw on a black or white bikini top and they make a great women's swimsuit.
Tuxpeedos have been thoroughly tested in extreme heat, but also in freezing cold blizzards (proof below). They are comfortably and stylishly worn alone, but also look great with accessories like a bowtie or top hat! They can even be worn underneath clothing as underwear.
Risks and challenges
The first potential risk I am aware of is a possible delay in manufacturing. I've been working with the same manufacturing company for two years to make sure the design and materials are just right, so there won't be any additional design time needed unless there is overwhelming feedback indicating design changes. I anticipate about 3 months for manufacturing, but my main contact is planning on getting married next year, and with the holidays coming up there could be delays. There are also various other factors outside my control that could delay the manufacturing time.
Another risk I can think of is due to minimal user testing. I've tested the Tuxpeedo myself in many conditions, and I've had a few friends test them out too. However, you never really know how people outside of my immediate network will like or use a product until you get it in their hands. Due to financial constraints I have only been able to make a few samples, but I've done my best to think of every way to test the Tuxpeedo. From high temperature hot springs and jacuzzis to cold temperature freezing lakes, I've experimented across the temperature spectrum. I've tested with saltwater, freshwater, sweat, beer, vodka, and various other liquids and the Tuxpeedo stands up strong. Despite the rigorous testing, there could be unforeseen issues with how people wear or use their Tuxpeedos.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
