$500k Stretch Goal Reached, Development Started on Staining. New $600k Goal Announced!

Posted by Wood Robot (Creator)

Hey everybody WOW WOW WOW!! We all did it! $500k. We are amazed and so appreciative. Know that we maintain extremely devoted to taking this KS and line even higher, as well as growing the brand post-KS.

So the development of the darker stained wood table is begun in earnest. This was the $500k stretch goal. We hope to have a visual update for you in a week or so. This is a process the futhers the hand work needed to get the quality where we would want it for you all (perfect is the target). Also these have awesome quality dark laminated tops. Those details as well as any other top designs or option will be discussed as we research and test.

NEXT GOAL ANNOUNCED - $550K Stretch Goal - Compact Table of Ultimate Gaming 2.4 model.  Based on the overwhelming feedback from fans who love the TOUG system but simply do not have the space for even the TOUG 3.5 model let alone the epic TOUG 4.6 model, we are potentially adding the Compact TOUG 2.4.  This would be offered as a coffee table model and you could also choose to go with the standard or taller legs if you wanted a traditional or tall height table for the kitchen or smaller seated gaming area. The TOUG 2.4 will accommodate ALL of the current rail accessories such as cup holders, DM screens, card organizers and more. So all accessories and modular decoration can be used across all TOUG tables 2.4, 3.5, and 4.6. Also you can choose any current play mat color. Also the 2.4 will share all the standard features of the 3.5 and 4.6 including dual play depth offerings, power (likely one not two) and more.

This exciting new addition offers a 2'x4' playing surface (1215cmx1214cm) and a little larger overall with the surrounding rails. The Compact TOUG 2.4 offers just slightly more than 1/2 the place surface of the next largest TOUGH 3.5 table. The TOUG 2.4 is 8 sq feet of play space and the TOUG 3.5 is about 16 sq ft as it is wider than 3' and about 5' long.

Dimensions subject to change. What will be offered is the ability to also us this TOUG 2.4 as an extension to the the TOUG 2.4 table. So now if you purchase a TOUG 4.6 table which is 4'x6' long, you can extend it to 4'x8' by adding a TOUGH 2.4 to the end of your TOUG 4.6

(most likely that inside leg to the right of the side by side legs is not needed - when combining. So more space will be available in that respect. We will test it and confirm)

Pricing to be determined in the next week or so. Let us know your thoughts. Does this smaller table meet your needs for a smaller casual game playing solution in either a coffee table, standard height table or tall table? Further does it meet the needs to potentially extend the length of the 4'x6' table? The Wood Robot wants to know!

      Hi Wood Robot,

Now that the project is at $550k, is this goal unlocked, or does it unlock at $600k?

    3. Scruffy

The Title has this next goal listed at $600K, but the text says $550K. which is the correct number?

BoardGameRevolution this is the plan - you can add the 2.4 to the 4.6 table to create a table that is more than 4'x8' long

    5. BoardGameRevolution

Would love the smaller table as a cheaper add on for those that plan to switch back and forth between a bigger table in their game room

Simon - thank you for your support - Simon do you mean the deco-packs? What is the combo that you are looking for ideally?

    7. Simon Wilmann on

Awesome. For the next stretch goal. Can you think about other inserts. Eg perspects clear and/or white. Thanks. Cant wait to get this in my home

    8. Michael McCollum

Definitely would be interested in at least one and maybe two for extensions. Would it be possible to have a single piece mat that would cover the entire extended length?

    9. Wood Robot 2-time creator on

DaveMann812 hi Dave, yes some folks just do not have the space for the 3.5 or the 4.6 - we like that it works double duty as a 4.6 extension also

I think the smaller table is good for card playing gamers I.E. MTG, Pokemon etc or solo play gamers. I'd however would only buy it as an extension. I just need to measure my room now. 8v)

    11. Wood Robot 2-time creator on

Jacob Pawson - that is great. Looks like the extension will be not 24" but a little wider at 28" so two would give you a great extension!

Sharkeyx - hi not yet. We have looked at it based on some comments like yours but it is a process. If we can do it will will announce. But we have only a couple weeks left in the KS.

    13. Sharkey

Is there option to have the same stain colour on top as well, instead of the flat black or white?

    14. Jacob Pawson

As my wife posted on FB when the 2x4 was announced there, the 2x4 as an add-on to the 4x6 is EXACTLY what we need. Once that unlocks we will be altering our pledge to add 2 of them!

Hi Oliver, no it is not. You can connect the 2.4 to the 4.6. Or you can connect two 3.5 of course.
      Alex - great news!

    16. Oliver Riedel on

is it possible to connect the 3.5 with the 2.4?
