Have a question?
I have not received my set yet. Please check. Thank you.
Nice work on the extra stickerset by the way. It looks really cool in person :).
I got really positive reactions from other people as well, they all find it a really cool product :). Hopefully it will become a hit :).
Got my tobotrack a few days ago, just in time for Sinterklaas :) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterklaas). My son seems to really like it, especially that it connects to his train tracks.
Just to inform you that I haven't received anything as of today 3 Dec.
It is now nearly 9 weeks since it was announced that the international orders had been shipped. (All the Canadian and International rewards have been shipped in the past week! Oct 3). From recall the fulfilment house estimated a 4-6 week delivery period so we are now well outside that timeframe. It's great shame that tracking number were not provided! Where do we go from here?
Hi Tomas ,
what about my second one ? Can you please update ...
@Hannes: I sent you a message. Sorry about the car wheel. I'll take care of it.
Got my package today in Austria. Unfortunately, one of the car's wheels has disintegrated in the long journey :(
@VJ: Thanks for the great news! International backers, the toys are arriving. Look out for them and let us all know how you like them.
@Peter: Ha ha, I'm glad you're still a kid inside, and played with Tobo Track yourself. Thanks for all the kind words.
Love the Tobo track product, it came in just in time to send off to my twin grand-nephews for their birthday. Of course I had to take it out and check it out (read play with it) before I sent it along to them. It's a great design and a quality product, this KickStarter project was a definite success. Thanks...
I got the first box ... really nice quality and my kid so happy to make the biggest track ... :) whole room is filled with tracks .. along with tobo ....
waiting for the second box ...
@VJ: I really appreciate your enthusiasm and anticipation for the arrival of Tobo Track! I don't have any tracking information for shipments outside of North America, but know that it may still be a week or two (or maybe 3). They're almost there - so exciting!
(note: each individual toy had to be shipped separately. This was for cost reasons, as combining multiple toys into one box would put the shipping cost into the next tier - nearly triple the price! So if you ordered 2 sets, you would get two packages)
Not to bother you but is there way to track these shipments ? I am worried if they got lost in trasit or something ... i got two sets and need to know how many shipments it means for me ... :) ... i am from NL and eagerly waiting for them :)
We got some Tobo Track in Honolulu today! Thanks!
@Tomas: Don't wordt about it. I understand that $60 shipping is not feasible. I am just anxious to share tobotracks with my son ;).
@Awkward_hamster: i'm so glad that your son likes it! Thank you for the fantastic video review on YouTube. It brings me so much joy to see kids playing with this toy finally.
@meinaart: I do not think any of the international shipments will have arrived yet. They will likely take a few weeks. I tried to get air shipping, but it turns out the cheapest price I could find that wasn't surface transport was over $60 per toy. I simply could not afford it. I know you have waited a long time, but this truly is the very last stretch of time. I look forward to hearing when you international supporters receive it!
Received the Tobo Track. My boy likes it. The unit looks much darker then what's shown on Kickstarter and box artwork.
Anyone in Europe already received their tobotracks?
Just received my Tobo Track! It arrived late last week and was waiting for me at the postal outlet, but with our hectic Thanksgiving long weekend I just picked it up today. It looks great! Everything is intact and accounted for :) Thanks!
any update since the delay from October 3rd?
We received our Tobo tracks today in the mail! Thanks!
is there a way to have a tracking number ? or just a surprise gift? what if they missed in the transit ... will you able to ship them again ... i would have paid extra dollar or two for the better shipping method ...as already we paid a heavy shipping fees ... :) ...
@Shawne: All the Canadian and International rewards have been shipped in the past week! All of the USA orders have been uploaded to the fulfillment warehouse, but there is a large discrepancy between what the factory sent and what the warehouse system indicates that it received. This is causing a painful delay, as I know you want to receive the Tobo Track rewards and I would dearly love to finally get them to you. The fulfillment company does not offer a firm promise on the timing of the solution/reconcilement, but it has been going on for over a week and I hope it will be resolved next week. Than it is only a matter of a few days until it arrives at your doorstep.
Hi. I never got mine. Did anyone else? Tomas, can you tell us what happened? Thx.
Hi Tomas! Have you send all the rewards out? And do we get a tracking number or something?
@VJ K: My understanding is that there isn't any duty on wooden toys, but I cannot promise that this is the case. I did indicate a low value, and the toy has already been shipped. My guess is that you will be charged VAT, but I'm also not 100% sure about that.
Please let me know what happens!
Any idea if there will be duty tax in Europe when sending from Canada? I backed many projects and lot of them i have to pay heavy duty tax. Can you please reduce the price on the box to make sure we get with less duty tax? In the country where i came from they take hell lot of taxes.
Also please make sure you include safety instructions in the package as it is illegal in NL to get anything without safety instructions on the box or as a leaflet.
are we on track for September 7th ?
@ Howard. Thanks for the tip. I just read the article about it. It's great news that such a big player in the toy industry is pursuing this kind of change. It's happening!
I think that the material used in Tobo Track could very well be suitable for use in Lego. It has very little post-production "creep" (a problem identified in one natural material that Lego was looking at), has nearly zero shrinkage after molding, and is quite strong. I'm certain Lego will be researching this material as an option. Let's hope they come through on their goal by 2030 to stop using ABS in their brick.
Did you catch the news about Lego looking into some alternative to ABS plastic (that they've used for decades). What would the Tobo material feel like or work like if it was molded into a Lego shape? Do you think this is a direction that Lego might take?
I do not think there is a clear answer to your question. I believe that, because Tobo Track is a wooden toy, there won't be duty on it. But I cannot be sure. There are likely variations in each country with regards to how this is handled, what the minimum value is for it to be worth it to process these charges, and exactly which carrier is handling the delivery. The same goes for taxes. Unfortunately, all of this is beyond my control. You will just have to hope that the shipment comes through without extra charges. I hope it does :) I do not know of any ways to avoid such things. I appreciate the support you gave Tobo Track in the campaign, and look forward to hearing how you like it when it arrives!
Tomas, you did not answer my question.... what about international shipping? what about duty taxes ? how to avoid them?
great to know that it will be there in July ... One question, there will be any duty charges for these items in Europe? Can you confirm that if that is the case then how much ,,,,may be how to avoid it ? I already paid a lot :)
I pledged with the intent of getting the K car. I didn't even notice I chose the wrong one. I wanted to the PLUS but pledged the builder. Is there a way I could upgrade it?
So glad we made it. My son is going to love this!
Good luck Tomas. You made it. Will enjoy them with my kid for sure :)
Huge congratulations on exceeding your goal Tomas! Wonderful campaign. Looking forward to being part of a bright future for Tobo toys!!!!!
Congrats on reaching the goal Tomas! So happy that you made it!
Thanks for your pledge, I really appreciate it :)
It will definitely be logistically difficult to insert 1 adapter into the Tobo-15 box, since it is designed for the 15 pieces only (it wouldn't fit). And putting one into a separate package would require an extra shipping charge. Therefore, if at all possible for you, I would suggest to you to upgrade to the Tobo-22 builder, which comes not only with more track pieces and two cars, but also includes 2 adapters. The shipping charge is the same as the Tobo-15, and the cost is only $14 CAD more. It is a more balanced set than if you had 3 extra adapters with the Tobo-15.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Is there anyway to add-on a single adapter to a pledge for say 6-7CAD? I have backed the single set with 15 tracks and 1 adapter and feel that 1 adapter is too few, but an extra 3 would be too many. I understand that logistically this might be a problem and am fine if it can't be done, but I it would be really great if I could...thanks!
Wow! Thanks everyone - your congratulations were a pleasure to receive! And I'd like to say congratulations back to YOU! You helped get us all there. I couldn't have done it without you :)
@Mathieu: To add any items to your pledge, just log into your Kickstarter account and go to the Tobo Track page. There, you can click on the blue "manage" button on the right. Now you just have to add $19 (if you want to add the 3-pack of adapters) to the pledge amount, but keep the selected reward the same. When I send out the survey after the campaign finishes, I'll be asking about any changes or add-ons that people made.
Thanks everyone! Only 59 hours to go.
Congratulations on reaching you goal!
So glad we're funded! I've been hoping we'd make it!
Woo hoo! So happy this is going to get funded! Congrats :)
Excellent news! Congrats!
So happy! Congratulations.
Woot, woot funded!!
Hoorah! You made it!
