Fourteen year old Nathaniel Wicket had to move to a junkyard in a small unfamiliar Pennsylvanian town with his estranged Uncle.
He meets Shane Hines and Alice Martin, and the trio became quick friends.
Meanwhile, in the City Council, the acts of nefarious men go unchecked.
And Nathaniel finds a clue to a deeper mystery.
So they rush off to question the Guardian of the city.
And get arrested.
But, after speaking with the Guardian...
Their fears are dismissed as the fantasies of children.
Which only fuels their desires to find the truth.
Rancidville is imaginative, funny, and is sure to engage the kid in all of us.
I enjoy reading fiction novels.
I like movies.
I really, really enjoy television.
But, I love comics, and I absolutely LOVE to draw.
Since I was eight years old, I have wanted to make comics. But I didn't have a clue where to start or what story to tell.
I was never really into the superhero genre of comics, I always gravitated to comics like Usagi Yojimbo, Cerebus, TMNT, Elfquest, and Bone.
Independent, different, and with humor.
Off and on for over 20 years, I have worked on some aspect of the Rancidville story as it has become a passion and a labor of love.
In 2011, sometime after it started, I discovered a webcomic called reMind by Jason Brubaker, and that opened my thoughts up to webcomic publication.
Then, in 2014 I took an online course on how to get your comic project started. It focused on the organization of ideas surrounding comic creation.
All those things led to me getting my comic off the shelf of ideas and into the world of reality.
I am incredibly excited to bring the second chapter of Rancidville to you. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have in creating it.

- Book 2 is even better than Book 1! While the first book primarily set up the characters, Book 2 is where the action really gets going!

From the individually wrapped book to the shipping carton, the same attention and love goes into each shipment as it did in creating the actual books.
If you dig what you see, I hope you'll choose to join the campaign and select one of the rewards to help make Rancidville: The Rotten Truth a reality.
Ryan Kroboth, the artist of Sunmaker, whose credits include having published works by Fried Comics, Dren Productions, and Wannabe Press, contributed this AMAZING variant cover for Rancidville: The Rotten Truth!
This is a limited print run for the Kickstarter only. Once the campaign is over, this will not be available anywhere else. As an added bonus Ryan is going to autograph each backers copy, how sweet is that!
I want you to back my project with confidence. If you're not 100% satisfied with your pledge, I'll do whatever it takes to resolve your issue. And, if that's not possible, simply return your reward and you'll be refunded your full pledge amount.

Risks and challenges
As a Kickstarter Superbacker, I know what it means to ask you for your support. I recognize that one of the biggest risks to a comic project is the production and fulfillment.
Having already funded and fulfilled my first project on the Kickstarter platform in 2017 I am pretty confident that (a) I know what I am doing (b) I finish what I start and (c) all the risks have been identified and eliminated.
I hope you'll give me the opportunity to make you a Rancidville fan for life!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
