I made the salsa to eat, because I'm a big fat guy who likes eating salsa. My wife keeps taking away all my delicious salsa and selling it, so I go buy stuff to make more - but when I get that batch finished, she tells me she's already sold all that too. It's pitiful, I tell ya. That smooth, smoky finish with its perfect contrast of sweet and tart, teeny bite of salt and nibble of cilantro! Aaargh! Those chile peppers! The amazing way it makes your scalp sweat while you say, "It's not that hot" - and you would be right. Beautiful oxblood color in the light and doesn't leave a bad aftertaste like some. I've been making salsa for 25 years or so and I gotta say, this is good stuff. I use it for much more than just salsa, too. Chili, soups, tamales, enchiladas - it got its start as a molé sauce attempt. Eh.

Hi! I'm Pirate Ringo's wife, Ruby. My official title for this venture is Business Manager, while Pirate Ringo (a.k.a. Chris, or Hott Stuff) is the amazing chef and creator of Pirate Ringo's Salsa. I (and a bunch of our friends) have been trying to get him to market his salsa for years, because it is in fact THAT GOOD. We've been selling jars of Pirate Ringo's Salsa to friends and family, but Pirate Ringo is ready to expand to the rest of the world. We just have to jump through the legal hoops to get there!
To date, friends and family in 14 U.S. states have purchased salsa, but we need to get fully licensed so we can sell Pirate Ringo's Salsa to the rest of you, too! This includes recipe submission and pH testing, barcodes, liability insurance, warehouse inspection, first run of a larger batch of scrumptious salsa, and equipment.
We need to streamline our production processes when we start making larger batches of Pirate Ringo's Salsa. Right now, we're still trying to use our little kitchen blender and one canner on our stovetop. That won't work when more people taste Pirate Ringo's Salsa and realize how amazing it is! We're barely keeping up with orders just from family and friends. But what a nice problem! Pirate Ringo is never happier than when he's making people smile with things he's created in the kitchen.

A nice bold flavor. A touch of a smoked taste. Heat that's not too hot but definitely stays with you. I think the smokiness reminds me of Texas. All in all, quite yummy! And not like any other I've had.

I got my salsa in today. It's so delicious!! It's just the right amount of heat along with a nice smoky flavor! 5 stars from me!

Enjoyed some Pirate Ringo's Salsa with lunch today. Bean burritos and tortilla chips with this tasty salsa. It tickles the taste buds! It was a bit smoky, maybe a bit of a sweet taste even if that's possible, and just hot enough to bring out an, "Argh me mates!" I didn't know was in there. ;) Seriously!
'Like' seems kind of lame, but I didn't see anywhere to write 'arrrrgh'!
I took it to work- offered some to my boss. He took a chip and dipped it in the salsa....then did it again, and again. Then took the bag of chips from my hand. Hour later, brought me a empty bag of chips.
My jar literally was gone with in 3 days!! I barely got any .. my husband tore into it!
Risks and challenges
