ANOTHER CAMPAIGN ADD ON!!
We were asked by one of our backers about the possibility of a print and play link. So we started working on putting together this for nearly a week now.
So as requested, Here is the print and play for the deluxe box of Battle of Souls, complete with 4 additional cards that are not currently in the box, the new design layout of the cards, and two suggested deck builds!

The back graphic for the cards is also on the sheet towards the end. We hope everyone can take a moment to enjoy their very own printed copy of this fun game.
Over the years we have gone through several design changes, all were meant to make our cards better and easier for people to read. So lets look at how our cards have evolved.
This was back when we first announced our game; when we were thinking that we would go the same route as TCG with starter decks and booster packs. While the design was ok, there were several issues. The most obvious was the text. We had white text with a black stroke, which looked fine on screen but when printed turned out to be really hard to read.
In these gamecrafter.com promo deck prints we took out the white text changed it black and removed the stroke. We also reduced the alpha on the samurai logo behind the text so that it doesn't wash out the text too much.
With this newer setup we increased the box size for the effect text, removed the code number on the bottom (don't need it anymore) reduced the size of the copyright text dropped the ATK/RST down a bit, and increased the size of the effect font to 6.5 to make it a little larger and easier to read. Also to eliminate the dead space on the top we added an emblem on the top right of the card and placed the card type under it. This also allowed us to move the card image up a little to add a bit more space to the effect box.
***NOTE*** This card was printed from gamecrafter.com and unfortunately the image "slid" when printing causing more black to be visible on one side of the card. This lead to the latest design.
In this latest iteration of our design we removed the black boarder, bringing the background color of each card all the way to the edge of the card. We increased the width and the height of the effect box and increased the text by 1 point
Added a little bit more space between the edge of the effect box and the text. reduced the copyright text a bit more which allowed us to move the ATK/RST further down on the card and spread out to match the new width of the effect box.
Lastly we increased the size of the emblem on the top of the card so that it is better distinguished.
We hope that these changes are to everyone's liking, We want to make our cards stand out in quality.
LET THE BATTLES COMMENCE!
Welcome to Battle of Souls!
Keeping in the spirit of LCG and ECG games, Battle of Souls has stepped away from Starter Decks and booster packs. Also we'll never have a ban list!
This isn't a game where you can pay to win!
This is Battle of Souls, a new ever expanding card game where players battle using historic warriors.
"Every warrior group that has ever existed on the planet Earth from the beginning of time to the gun powder age; if we can find information on them, they will be in our game" WB
In Battle of Souls you will not get booster packs or starter decks, instead you get a box set that represents a warrior group. This includes every card for that warrior group in the game. No more hunting down and paying for cards in order to make a competitive deck.
WHAT DO OTHERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT BATTLE OF SOULS?
WANT TO SEE GAME PLAY IN ACTION?
GameX with Boardgame Babylon
CAN YOU PLAY IT NOW?
The answer to that is yes!
SO HOW DO YOU PLAY BATTLE OF SOULS?
First open your box and make your 40-60 card deck
Shuffle your decks and draw 5 cards
Check to make sure you don't have a mulligan (less than two warrior cards is a mulligan)
Each player starts the game with 8000 soul points (life points); the first player to reach 16000 soul points by doing damage to their opponent wins the game.
You can play 1 fighter card per turn unless it's a special deployment.
When you attack with a fighter and kill another fighter it gets a kill counter. Any damage done to the other player decreases their soul points while increasing your own soul points by the same amount.
To advance your warrior these are the steps:
- Warrior gets 3 counters - advance to elite warrior
- Elite warrior gets 5 counters - advance to a warlord
- Warlord has 7 counters and an elite warrior and warrior are on your field - advance to legendary warrior
Tactic Cards must be played face down from your hand
They can be flipped face up to activate them after that turn is over
Equipment cards can be played face up or face down, but only activated during your turn either before or after the battle phase
Battlefield cards can be played during your main phases but only one battlefield and be in play on the entire field.
For $1 you get our appreciation and love for your support! Plus you get that good feeling that you have supported an independent developer.
For $20 You get the deluxe deck box.
The deluxe box includes the following:
1 - Instruction rule sheet. Contains everything you need to know in order to play the game.
4 - Suggested deck builds to help you get started.
209 - Samurai and Viking warrior cards. This is the full set of Viking and Samurai warriors.
There are enough cards in this box to create 5 40-card decks with some cards left over for side decks.
For $35 You get two of the deluxe box sets. This means everything above multiplied by 2
This means a total of 418 cards. Enough to make 10 decks. Or to really beef up a few decks.
For $54 This reward level is only for retailers that would like to carry Battle of Souls in their stores. Send us a message if you are planning on backing us at this level
This will give retailers 6 decks at $9 each.

Risks and challenges
Several design changes are still in the process of being finalized but should be final by the time the campaign ends. We will submit all artwork to our printer as soon as the campaign has reached its goal funding. If there are no delays with the printing then the card sets will be available for shipping by mid September. In the event that there is a delay in receiving the product from our printer, we will inform all of our backers via email of the delay and work to resolve it immediately.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
