Tibetan music is still relatively unknown in the world. While the Tibetan culture is in danger inside Tibet, we strive to bring awareness to its beauty and aim to contribute to its preservation. That is why, one year after releasing our first album, we are in the studio again, recording our band’s second album, under the working title “Endless Friendship”. We will record four traditional, six original and one cover song. Our new songs are about honoring friendship and community.
We are recording this album because we love music and believe in its power. We believe in Freedom and Peace in the world through music, and hope our belief will resonate with many of you out there!
Our 2013 North American tour – also Kickstarter funded - allowed us to mingle musically. Each of us has a voice in this music and we feel that we have come up with a new sound.

Our new album will be a mix of traditional and contemporary Tibetan world music. We have folk songs from the ancient kingdom of Ngari, an acapella from Kham (Eastern Tibet) and one “cover” by Lolo, a Tibetan singer who was imprisoned because of this very song.
Our band’s first album “Lam La Che - On The Road” was inspired by Tsering Woeser, a renowned Tibetan poet living in Beijing. We collaborated with Keb’Mo’ and the album was released on ARC Music (2013). “Lam La Che” won five awards, including ”Best Album” at the 2013 Tibetan Music Awards in Dharamsala, India.http://www.musictibet.com/awards/2013/winners.html

Risks and challenges
Recording an album is a challenging task, both creatively and financially. We are fortunate to have some experience in this field and we feel confident that our music will stay true to our band’s musical style.
The financial responsibility of producing an album is quite huge but we trust that it can be done if we are organized, courageous and believe in what we do.
Our original fundraising goal was $ 20,000. Recently, a close friend of our band’s donated $ 5,000, which brings our Kickstarter goal to $15,000.
Total: $ 20, 000
Travel, food, and transportation $ 6,000
