Production Update.

Far overdue, we want to update everyone who have taken a great interest in the launch of our first line of Vere Sandals. First of all thanks again for backing us.  With your help, we have been able to secure the deliveries on the raw materials for the spring and summer.  Standard procedure for a startup is to have a few unforeseen delays pop up at the last minute.  While we have taken care of these it still translates to a later delivery date for our Kickstarter backers.  For that we apologize for the additional wait.

Thank you to those who have returned their surveys to us.  We understand there have been issues for some not receiving the surveys.  The survey responses helped play a key role in generating the raw material orders for the season now that we have an idea of the sizes styles and colors.  For those few who do not have the surveys in, you can still do so by going back to and logging in.  After the login, you will see a reminder at the top of the page that a survey is due for the Vere Sandals project.  That information will come directly to us and we will be able to fulfill your backer request.

The important part of this update?  Status of deliveries.  With raw materials ordered we expect to have everything in place to finalize production by the end of May with shipments beginning in Mid-June.

Thank you for all of your support with our venture, and now with our patience.  It has all been paramount in allowing us to get as far as we have.  Please hold on and get another month out of your current sandals.  We will be sure to get American made sandals on your feet in time to enjoy the hot summer months wherever you may be.

Now go outside.

Hi Guys,

Some of you have asked about a ship date for the sandals, so we want to bring you up to speed on where we are:

Kickstarter keeps the funds in their account for fourteen days after it's collected, and then Amazon keeps it for another week or so.  At this point, we're still a week or two from seeing the funds in our account.

Once the funds are in our account, we should have an accurate read on all of your sandal orders and what raw materials we'll need to get them built.  Armed with that information (and the cash) we'll order the materials and get to work.

As of right now and given this timeline, we're looking at mid-May as the most likely completion time for the sandals and coveralls.

I've read on some other comment sections where there has been a bit of controversy surrounding order fulfillment, specifically shipments going out to retailers before backers.  I can tell you that we are going to build all of our sandals by style, and they'll be shipped out when each style is done.  We have sixteen style/color combinations, so we'll be building all of the Black Don, for instance, before moving on to the Brown Don, and so forth.  The retail orders will go out as the full order is complete, but the backer orders will go out as the individual styles are built.

We thank you again for your support and your patience, and truly look forward to making sure you have great sandals to wear all through the summer and into next year.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any other questions or comments.

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend.  We've been getting a ton of questions concerning the surveys, and the fact that many of you have not received one yet.

As of right now, we've only sent out surveys for the $25 and $45 pledge levels.  We wanted to send out the simpler ones before the weekend, and have a chance to review the feedback and responses to see if we needed to make any changes to our strategy before sending out the more complicated pledge surveys.  We've gotten some good feedback and have a couple strategic changes to make that will help us process the information a bit better.

Rest assured that the rest of you will be seeing the surveys in the next couple days, and we look forward to getting all the proper information so we can begin making your sandals.  Please continue to let us know of any questions you may have, and we'll do our best to answer.
