Stephanie, We had gotten some items returned to us due to incorrect mailing addresses. In this case, we would make attempts through the email left on file by the backer to get the current mailing address and send out the reward. It has also been our experience that some of the shipments to incorrect addresses don't always get returned. I'll research the old tracking information and see if the USPS can get us some details on the shipment. I'll send you an email and get your current mailing address as well. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I personally remember preparing this label for you and deciding to actually send this out despite your lack of concern over our factory fire and your wishes for us to go bankrupt and homeless. More than 3 years since this was funded and I still haven't received my pair. I understand delays and things happen but um 3 years. 3 years. 3! YEARS!
I felt it really necessary to drop you a line. In December last year I finally received my second pair of sandals. I now have a pair of Al's and Louie's and I just wanted to say thank you.
I realise that you've had a helluva time since you started your Kickstarter project. I have no doubt you wish you'd never done it given all the troubles you've had. But.... you've persisted and for that I thank you. Given the messages that are still being left here there are still some people who haven't received there sandals and are still upset. Bear in mind that the Vere guys could have just quit long ago and moved on. But they're not, they're still trying to do the right thing by their backers.
To the Vere team, thank you. I really like my sandals but your persistence is far more impressive.
This was just posted in response to a comment we just received from an old update. In case anyone is still checking this stuff out, here's an update...................................
First the basics: the funds received from the backers did help us cover the cost of production for our 2011 product launch. For your support and backing, we will always be grateful. When we experienced delays in the supply chain, machine breakdowns halting production, fire, etc. there were additional expenses we had to cover which required more funds than initially anticipated. It also required more time as you all know to fulfill backer requests.
We sought out additional investment form private equity, as well as revenue from retail customers in order to survive. We barely survived. 2012 - 2013 was a significantly dry year for manufacturing investments. Due to this, inventory for some styles and colorways have remained depleted (Brown/Orange Louies, Pink Angies).
We have secured funds that guarantee the necessary cash flow to operate our factory build redundancies to the production line, and meet the anticipated growth for the next several years which should get us over the hump.
We have never taken our eye off the ball in getting you your rewards, and it just took way longer than anyone wanted. We have made attempts to fulfill all request, yet we are 97% complete. If you haven't gotten your backer reward by now, it is because of one of the following:
(1) we have an outdated or undeliverable address / contact information on file
(2) we never received any response to our request for a Louie Brown/Orange substitution
(3) elected to hold out for the brown/orange Louie despite the materials being depleted by the fire, despite our offer to upgrade to a leather Al
(4) no survey information (believe it or not we have some of these)
David, We sent you a pair (our third attempt) in November. According to our tracking it left the States on 24 November. We have found that there is no consistent timeframe for delivery once it leaves the US. I will email you the tracking information which is also verifies that it was sent to the correct address as we discussed in prior emails.
Another two months.... Refund please...
I received my two pair of sandals and love them but I'm still waiting for my overalls... Looking forward for these.

As an early backer, I'm also patiently waiting for my sandals. Three summers have come and gone since this campaign started. Are you guys any closer to being able to ship product?

I would also like to know where my Brown and orange Louie's are come on!!!! If you tell me I didn't reply back I am sure I did. not to mention it would have appeared from your email if you dint change your mind then you were planning on waiting on the color you had chose. No confusion on our part David. Please look for a direct email where we can discuss your issues in detail. We have exchanged emails with the backers whose comments you mention below and their concerns are being taken care of.
I would like the colour I originally ordered, and specified on the survey in March 2011. ie. Brown/Orange. Why the confusion? Surely if I'd changed my mind in the interim I would have said so. Is this really why my order hasn't shipped? If so, what about the two backer comments below from December 24th? Are you waiting on everyone to confirm and then re-confirm the colour they want?
David first of all your comment on the retail pricing is misleading. You backed us for custom sandals at $45 each (plus Intl. shipping). Custom sandals are not available anywhere.
We are awaiting a reply from a July 2012 email regarding your Louie color choice. We responded to your last email in October, asking for a verification but never heard from you except to complain on the message board. It will be difficult for us to send you a pair if we have no idea what color you want.
So gratifying to see Louie sandals for sale online when I'm yet to receive mine almost two years after paying for them. Even better is that they sell them for less than two thirds of the price I paid. Fortunately all I need to do is email the company and no doubt i'll receive a speedy and courteous email detailing when I should expect to receive them. Oh wait...
