All's well on Wall Street. Within their lofty hi-rise towers, physicists and con artists trade frighteningly complex products at a lightning pace. Until one of the most successful entrepreneurs on the street, John Silverback, stumbles upon an idea that could change the status-quo forever.
That idea? To monetize the social network.
Twitterverse is a show that explores market dynamics, doubt, and fate within a world where everyone is connected - whether they like it or not.
A word from our Artistic Director Kenneth Faust:
Twitterverse is the first major production by the newly-formed Secondhand Theatre Company. At the moment we are producing a completely original piece written by the talented Mr. Tom Livingston, my personal friend and a man who surprises me with his imagination. Twitterverse is a piece about the peculiar realities of the modern world. It's a good show, worthy of love. It needs to have all of the love that we can spare to put into it. Given the opportunity, we feel that can truly do this play justice with a little effort, a lot of passion, and some help from you.
We are working towards creating a self-sustaining theatrical troupe; but every company must begin from somewhere. This being so, we come to our friends, loved ones, and fellow lovers of theater with our hats in hands and hearts on our sleeves in the hope that we might inspire you with our energy to give some bit of support to our cause. We are proud of the work we are doing and would like the chance to share some of that with you.
Our current budget is $3523. This goes toward renting out performance space, our minimal set, lights, costumes, props, marketing, and compensation for our contributing artists. This is a meager sum to spread out over all those areas, but we are confident that we can create honest and good work with it. Any contribution can make a big difference; anything we raise above $3523 is going to go directly toward the next show.
We have great ideas and talented professional artists who believe in them. With your support this can be the beginning of an incredible adventure.
Thank you so much. Looking forward to a wonderful season!

Risks and challenges
Standing out as a unique company in a city filled with theater artists. We have to be able to do more than just create theatre: we have to give the world a reason to watch our work. We believe that we've got the artists, the material, and the collaborative process to make this happen. The challenge lies in overcoming our individual flaws and building on our strengths together.
As any artists do, we still have a lot to learn. But we feel confident in taking the greatest risk any artist faces: a public reception.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
