So who are you?
Hi, we are two bands who go by the names Tama Slim and Exit Eyes. We are from Fårösund which is located on the island of Gotland, Sweden. We are planning to go out on our first tour abroad in the middle of May.
On our tour we will travel through south of Sweden and onwards towards Europe neighbor Copenhagen, Denmark. We had an original plan to go to the Netherlands but you guys in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague will have to wait for another time! We are so coveted in Sweden that we found plenty of fun gigs here. We have covered the major parts of our budget, but to make this tour possible, we still have another 10 000 to go, approx. €1000.
Presenting the bands:
Band members: Bella Boris Müller, Jonna Aspeklev, Melanie Virgo, Viktoria Blix, Sanna Christensen
Tama Slim plays experimental rock with a heavier sound that is colored by their own personal influences.
Band members: Félicia Uppman-Paquay, Pernilla Karlsson, Linda Lundström, Ella Larsson
With their experimental rock Exit Eyes gets their sound from the contrasting genres heavy-metal and dream pop.
We are all students at Gotlands folkhögskola, the Ella Pop/Rock Program; Ella Music Education in Sweden. It is a musical education for women, non-binary and transgender persons who want to develop in the pop / rock genre. Gender related questions and feminism are issues that are addressed continuously during the education, and the program is one of a kind. As a part of our education we get to plan, book and finance our own tours. We recently finished our last tour to capital of Sweden, Stockholm in May.
And what is it that you plan to do?
Our plan is to get our newly written material out abroad. We want to go to Copenhagen and south of Sweden. We have two gigs in Sweden so far one at Arena 305, Malmö and the second at BenkaDi, Simrishamn . In Copenhagen we will play at Tjili Pop, and more is yet to come!
How did you come up with the idea for the tour?
Our original idea of going to Amsterdam was because some of us have friends and family that have lived there and have been recommending it. Also several of us have been there before and wanted to come back. Fun fact, one earlier Ella-student lives in Amsterdam now.
Now that we are going to Copenhagen and South Sweden the main idea is the same, it's places we love and want to share together as bands. It's a new way of experiencing a town and sharing our music!
So how are you going to get there?
The plan is to drive the tour bus starting May 18. We will travel from Fårösund on to the south of Sweden and do our first gig in Lund. We will travel a bit back and forth between Sweden and Copenhagen on our lovely tour(See the tour plan below). To finish it all off, we do our tour finale gig the 26th of May at Bénka Dí in Simrishamn.
Also look out for our Promotional Tour Gig at the radio station P4 on Gotland(SWE).

And what's your budget for this tour?
We have covered about 70 % of the costs so far, through collaborations with different operators such as Studieförbundet Bilda and Destination Gotland. Also we are collaborating with Svängrummet, a part time music school.
Despite the fact that we don’t have any interest in making profit from this project, touring is not for free. The tour bus needs gas, ferry tickets have to be paid, we need places to sleep and also we have to eat thrice a day.
With our finance plan we only need another 10 000 kr( €1000) to make the tour possible. We only strive to cover our costs. If there is any excess money, we will put it into our budget and give ourselves the possibility to, for example, eat out instead of making lunchboxes.

Risks and challenges
Our biggest challenge with this tour is to receive the amount of money we have set up as our goal. For this Kickstarter project we hope to cover the last 30 % of the budget. If that’s not achieved, our plan B is to find more collaboration partners. Our second challange is to find available gigs at the planned tour dates. In case there are mishaps in this area, don't worry! We will instead adjust our tour plan to the south of Sweden and Denmark. This is our dream, and we can make it come true! We hope you want to contribute!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
