Entropy - A Love Story
This is an original play that has been in development for far too long... after two very instructive workshops with great people it has finally found its time and its cast. The actors could not be better suited for the material and in fact they are elevating it to even greater than imaginable heights.
In order to give the play a proper run of still only 16 performances - we have to run for a month at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center and have found rehearsal space elsewhere and though we have a great resource at the Kingsley Studios in Hollywood, all of these rental costs are coming directly out of the director's pocket.
We are hoping to make back the COST OF THE THEATRE AND REHEARSAL SPACE and BUILD AN AUDIENCE :) in advance. Right now - no one is getting paid a dime - not the actors, not the creative team - no one. This is entirely a labor of love, and one that we are all very proud of. We promise to put the money to good use by paying everyone involved the merest fraction of what they deserve but we can only do that if we are guaranteed that the space is covered and the audience is coming.
Word of mouth is going to be our best and in fact primary means of advertising. We thank you for considering our project and hope we have inspired you to donate or come see us in person during our run in October.
Risks and challenges
This is a new play, which means we know it is difficult to quickly grasp its value as a cause. We hope our video helps you understand who we are. This project is not being produced by a theatre company - it is being produced solely by Christine, who is scrambling every day as we get closer to opening to keep this boat afloat. With Christine's experience having produced shows in New York and after years as a professional stage manager touring with musicals and dance shows coupled with the combined experience of the cast and crew as a whole we know we will be offering a truly unique theatrical experience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
